I've been dying my hair 'novelty' shades for the past three-ish years, and in that time have used this kit a few times. It's great in the fact that it includes everything you need- gloves, tint brush, mixing bowl, and plastic cap. I have naturally black hair and found this lightens quite well, although the end result is very orange and needs toning. I would rate it higher if the kit was larger, as I always need two kits and it would be great if they offered a 30% option as 40% can be a bit intense, especially if you're just doing roots/re-growth.
