Decent dye, needs better colour comparasion
I've been used manic panic to dye my hair for awhile and while I always love the colour, it always comes out lighter or brighter than expected. Just make sure to choose a colour darker than you want
Awful Customer Service
The actual product is fine, however the customer service was horrible. When purchasing, it was not clear how much shipping was, until I checked my bank app. $30!!!! So the entire purchase was $80, which was just way too much. I wanted a refund, and was emailed back by the customer service manager, Trina. Although I originally asked for a refund before the product had been shipped, she didn’t offer any actual help until the product was shipped and simply told me I couldn’t get a refund. I claimed this was unfair, since I reached out before it was shipped, and I was replied to with a very condescending email stating that I don’t get a refund. Zero star customer service. Very unhelpful and made me feel extremely ignored.
Fades too fast!
The product manic panic is okay but it's not worth it..
The color faded away much too quickly and the color doesn't seem right..
Like the dark green one was actually like green..
I tried this and ended up using the entire package of product and didn't get very good results at all. I would not buy this again. Price was ok but effectiveness was poor.
I've used several colours/types of Manic Panic, and for a while I was using it regularly atop a box dye for a deep vibrant red, but it is too expensive, and colour availability here is slim.
I've since switched back to Jerome Russell's Punky Colours.
I didn't love this. It wasn't cheap, the results were not as pronounced as I was hoping, and the Infrared faded into a gingery orange that was unsightly.
Maybe it just isn't good for brown hair? But I would not use it again.
Great for temporary color splash on bleached hair. I own cotton candyand hot hot pink colours. Works best if you use tin foil or foil wraps. Use on hair after you shampoo, NO CONDITIONER! I also left the pasteon longer and blow dried the foils before rinsing out. Use gloves because it stains your skin and clothes.
Depending on whether you use demi, or semi permanent you will have a different lasting time (1 day to 2 weeks). It has a range of vibrant colours but it needs to be applied to bleached hair, and runs out when your hair gets wet, or when your head sweats. It works best in small coverage areas and for shorter time periods. As well I love teh fact that it is a vegan, cruelty free product.
It's hard for me to write a review about Manic Panic Hair Dye because I've had varying success that is absolutely dependent upon the color.
My most recent experiment was an absolutely failure. I tried the "Raven" (black) and it barely dyed my hair a medium brown, even after using generous amounts of dye and applying heat. That lasted a whole day. I've had better success with different shades of red on my light brunette hair in the past but I can't tell you which. Because this isn't a permanent dye it will fade and red always fades the fastest.
You'll obviously have better results if you bleach first and use shampoos for color-treated hair and some people recommend putting a bit of dye with your conditioner to prolong the color.
Considering the price, though, if you want vibrant and lasting color you might as well buy some permanent dye. If you're just in it for the crazy colors and want something temporary, you might consider Manic Panic but I'd be prepared for possible letdown.
Fades fast, frys hair and makes it impossible to keep your hair in good condition.
