I received this product from the Review Club and although I received it late I have been using it for about a week now. Im finding that this product has its pro's & con's. I like the fact that it has SPF in it and that it does a good job of moisturizing. However, by mid afternoon my face is very oily and shiny and I'm having to blot my skin which removes most of my makeup. As a few other reviewers have noted, this product is probably better off as a night cream because of the thickness of it and the oilyness it produces, but also maybe best used in the winter when the skin needs more moisture and is much more dry.

I was selected by the Beauty review club here at Chick Advisor to receive the Marcelle Essentials 1st Wrinkles Day Cream SPF 15.

I applied this cream when I got out of the shower in the morning and before I used makeup. I found that the cream was pretty thick, thicker than I would normally expect for a day cream with SPF, and it felt pretty greasy on the skin.

After I applied my makeup on top I felt it was still greasy, heavy and that I needed to use blotting paper.

I think this cream as a night cream would be okay, but as a day cream it just felt heavy and sticky.

This is a review for Marcelle Essentials 1st Wrinkles Day Cream SPF 15. I really liked this moisturizer. It has SPF, which I like. I found it a little to greasy for summer.
I'm going to try this again in the winter. Overall average. Thank you Chick Advisor for letting me try it out.♥

The Marcelle day cream is okay not more not less. Some days when it was very hot
it felt a bit too heavy on my skin ,but on other days it was just fine by using a small quantity.
The fact that it has a SPF 15 is good but 30 would have been better!
So I would recommend it to people who's skin isn't oily and don't mind that it's only SPF 15,
Thanks to the club for letting me reviewing this cream ;)

Marcelle has a great line of skin care products. I found the Essentials 1st Wrinkles Day Cream with SPF 15 to be an effective moisturizer and the SPF and wrinkle fighting are great bonuses.

I did find that in the hot humid weather we have been experiencing lately that the consistence was a little too thick. I think it will make a great winter moisturizer.

I can't comment on the creams effect on my "wrinkles" as I haven't been using it long enough... but one can hope! :)

Overall, a good cream, with great claims but I wish it wasn't so thick that I can't use it in the very hot weather.

I got this day cream through the product review club. The first thing I noticed was the smell. The scent is light but smells like paint. I also found the cream to be greasy once applied to my face. I've tried better day creams with SPF and don't recommend spending money on this one. Sorry!

I LOVED this cream!!!! Marcelle continues to surprise me! Thanks to the Product Review Club I am starting to see the benefits of changing over to more Marcelle products. This cream was quite thick and moisturizing - I did not need to use very much of it to get full coverage. My skin looked dewey and had a nice youthful glow to it. There was no smell to this lotion, which makes it easy to use everyday.

I only wish that there was more SPF protection. I prefer to where at least 30 SPF everyday, so the 15 SPF inluded in this cream does not seem like enough. I find the price a little hight considering that on days when I was heading outside for most of the day, I actually needed to put on another moisturizure with more SPF...kind of disappointing since I really enjoyed every other aspect of this lotion.

I've been using Olay's classic lotion with SPF 15 since I was thirteen, so my skin is so used to that formula I was curious to try something different. The Marcelle Day Cream comes in a lovely jar and on sight looks very appealing. I wonder sometimes how hygenic it is to dip your fingers repeatedly into a jar of cream, but so many are packaged that I suppose it must be ok.

My concern, however, was that a cream formula was going to be too heavy after so many years of using a lotion. Often the addition of sun protection makes a texture even greasier. The first day I used this, my skin was oilier and shiny across my t-zone by the afternoon. The second time I followed with a light dusting of mineral foundation, which helped a bit, but I still felt like I was 'wearing' my cream all day, instead of having it absorb into my skin. But after a couple more uses, my skin seemed to adjust more to the thicker formula.

Overall, if you like cream formulas, give this a shot: the texture is quite luxurious and it definitely hydrates. That and the minimal SPF should help with developing wrinkles. For me, I think I'll stick to my lotion for the rest of the summer and use this during the winter months, when a richer emollient could be helpful.

A BIG thanks to the chickadvisor product review club for letting me review this product.
The packaging of the cream is quite nice, I liked the jar the cream is in, I feel it keeps the cream nice and fresh.
What I loved at first use is that it is absolutely odourless. Great for anybody who is looking for a cream with no perfumey or strong smells.
The cream is SPF 15, great for someone like me who does not spend a lot of time outdoors during the day. It although does take some time to absorb into the skin. My skin felt a bit shiny when I first applied it. It took about 10 minutes or so to absorb well into the skin and then I was able to apply my makeup.
As far as getting rid of wrinkles/age spots is concerned I am not sure yet because I would need to apply it for a longer period to notice any difference. It does however keep my skin well hydrated during the day which I really did like.
My skin is quite sensitive and thankfully the Marcelle cream suited it well.
Overall I would give it a 7.5 out of 10.

I was thankfully selected by the Beauty review club here at Chick Advisor to receive the Marcelle Essentials 1st Wrinkles Day Cream SPF 15.

I used the cream after my shower which included me washing my face with another brand cleanser. On first inspection of the cream I noticed it to be very glossy and thick looking in the jar. Which I found to be a bit much for a Day Cream. Most likely it was this way due to the sunscreen in it.

I applied a layer of this cream on my face and neck and immediately noticed a stinging sensation! YIKES is that normal? I don't think so.. It felt like it would if you put nail polish remover into a paper cut. It was not a good first impression.

I quickly looked up into the mirror and seen my face was turning pinker by the second it was also extremely glossy and greasy looking.(yuck) I was not impressed with this as I had to apply a lot of power to get my face to look more matte and less like I was running a marathon.

I personally wouldn't buy this again based on my negative experiences. I might try using it in the winter but the stinging effect scares me to try it again.

I wouldn't recommend this there's plenty of better creams that are non-greasy and have SPF in them. I think Marcelle needs to redo this cream its not cutting the mustard.
