Like the Marcelle's under eye creme, this product goes on smooth and gives me an overall 'brighter' look. It's not greasy whatsoever, and it blends into your skin well. It applies nicely and evenly to my face and neck regions.
Nowadays, SPF is a must for me, and although this moisturizer only contains 15 SPF, I'd take that over nothing (also, a lot of makeups come with 10-15 SPF now, so when you layer both, it sort of helps add to the level you're wearing). Also, being fragrance free is a huge bonus.
I'm excited to try this product again in the winter months, where my skin is dryer due to weather.
Based on the two Marcelle products I've tested, I would explore more of their product lines in the future. I am a bit stuck on the price. I do think it's decent for the product, but at the same time, I'm always looking for ways to avoid breaking the bank. I'm a cheap-o at heart I guess.
I thought I'd already uploaded this, but it seems it didn't go through. Unfortunately this one will be a bit shorter, because I don't have a lot of time.
Anyhoo, the nice part about this is that I've had a chance to use it longer - and I'm loving it!
I actually have noticed a difference in my skin. It's soften, more supple and it's tone is better. Before it was looking a little bit dull, and tired, but after 2 weeks with this product, it actually is looking and feeling better!
I love the texture of it -- smooth, whipped and creamy. Except when it's 40C in TO, it has kind of melted. But still works.
I'm really enjoying this product and would definitely recommend it.
The only downside I have to say is that I'm not a fan of the smell. It has a strong sunscreen scent, but it goes away fairly quickly.

I really like that there are now products coming out for early wrinkles - I am too old for young skin products and too young for the heavy anti-wrinkle regimens that I see on the market. So, I was happy to try this new line from Marcelle.
The woman on the box looks like an alien. Her skin is so taught and perfect, she must be French....The jar feels nice and heavy, it's the glass bottom that gives it the weight.
My experience with the cream was not great. It is a nice consistency but a wee bit too thick, especially for a day cream - maybe appropriate for night but not day. I have sensitive skin that can also be oily at times in the tzone and dry on the cheeks but also getting early wrinkles. Because i'm sensitive, i react to some products with a rash unfortunately, so I'm extra cautious with products that have SPF. This has an spf of 15, which i love the idea of but others are doing it better than marcelle is in this product.
Back to the product: It smells like a sun screen, which i disliked immediately. It also leaves a sticky filmy residue, which screams sunscreen to me. Sadly, i will not be using this on my face again. The spf is not high enough to use it as an outdoor/weekend facial sunscreen product and it's too icky-sunscreeny to use during the week for work under makeup on my face. I will however make use of it by applying it to the backs of my hands as a sunscreen (but I'll immediately wash the palms of my hands because the sticky feeling it leaves behind is yuck).
I am unclear as to what the anti-wrinkle properties are in this cream. From what i could tell, it was just the SPF that is the anti-aging quality.
Two others that are good to try if you're looking for spf in a face cream for the mid-30s group: Clarins Multicorrect day lotion with SPF (Comes in a pump, from the US, not yet available in Canada) and for lower price point, Neutrogena has a 25spf that is good - Ageless Essentials continuous hydration lotion. Really good. I don't break out, good under makeup and no suntan lotion smell.
I got this moisturizer as part of the product review club (if you aren't a member what are you waiting for?) I just checked Marcelle's website and saw that it retails for $27.50, which I think is an acceptable price for the amount of moisturizer you get, but is also more than I tend to spend on my moisturizers.
I like that it contains SPF and is targeted at women in my age range, who don't have deep wrinkles yet but are starting to think about anti-aging skincare. What I don't like is that it contains chemical sunscreens (oxybenzone and octinoxate), which are possibly be carcinogenic. Personally from now on I'd only like to use natural SPF, so for that reason alone I would not repurchase this moisturizer.
In terms of the moisturization, this hydrates well and absorbs pretty quickly. I've worn it under my makeup (and under my Neostrata Oil Free Mattifying Fluid) and I had no issues with it balling up or doing anything weird. Since we're in the middle of the summer I can't fully judge its moisturizing abilities, but I'm pretty confident it could handle those dry winter months.
Although this moisturizer is perfume free it does have a light scent that I don't love. It smells vaguely sunscreen-ish. Personally I prefer something with no scent, or if it scented I'd rather it be something fresher.
I think this is a decent product, but it's just not for me.
I received the Marcelle Essentials 1st Wrinkles Day Cream SPF 15 from the Chick Advisor Product Review Club and have been using everyday for about two weeks now. It's a thick cream with a faint perfumed smell but nothing strong. Goes on smoothly a little more oily then what I'm used to but it makes your skin feel very soft.Good sized cream and since you don't need a lot on your face it should last a long time. I don't have a much wrinkles but I do notice my forehead is where most of my wrinkles occur. I've been noticing the wrinkles are not as deep as they used to be and look less noticeable now. I look forward to seeing how much this cream will have an effect on my fine lines. I love the built in SPF for these hot summer months we have been having. Protects my face from the damaging sun rays. I would recommend this product especially to dry skin sufferers because of the deep moisturizing it provides.
I received the Marcelle Essentials 1st Wrinkles Day Cream SPF 15 from the Chick Advisor Product Review Club and have been using everyday for two weeks. I really like the packaging of the product, the jar is huge and when you compare the the retail price to each ounce, you are getting a great deal of product for the price. I didn’t mind the smell of the product either; it did not have a perfume infused scent but did have a slight trace of SPF which was not as strong as some other day creams I have used.
After two weeks of use I noticed some of the tiny fine lines on my face began to smooth out and were slightly less noticeable, I think I would have to use this product a bit longer to notice a dramatic improvement. The only thing I did not like was the thick consistency of the cream itself, which would be fine in any other season except for summer, the cream melted off my face quickly in the heat if I did not apply a foundation immediately after. I do recommend this product for women who want to prevent or who are experiencing the first signs of aging. I will buy this product again and make it apart of my fall/winter/spring daily skincare routine.
I received Marcelle Essentials 1st Wrinkles Day Cream from the Product review club and was excited to try this out. Being in my early 30s now, I want to be proactive when it comes to the skin on my face. I don’t find too many suitable products on the market that are targeting women that are just starting to get first lines and don’t need heavy anti-wrinkle creams. So big thanks to Marcelle for coming up with this product.
There were things I liked and things that can be improved. What I liked about the cream was that it does have SPF although a little lower than I would prefer. (30 SPF level would have been ideal).
The cream is supposed to be unscented, but it had an odor I didn’t like. I do understand that because of my sensitive skin, this feature would be a bonus as it the cream is unlikely to cause irritation, however I would much rather prefer a cream with a light scent that smells well, nice
On the positive side I found that even though the cream was a little bit on the heavy side, it absorbed quite nicely and my skin didn’t feel greasy. It moisturized quite nicely and I used it as a make-up base as well. For the week, I have been using the product, it is hard for me to tell if it has any effect on fine line and first wrinkles, however I plan to use the whole jar and find out.
One thing though that is plain inconvenience (as pointed out by other reviewers) is the jar. I always have to use a little tissue to get a bit of the cream out to use but would much rather prefer a pump.
Overall, I have to say I enjoyed the way the product works and will consider buying it again after I finish the jar. The price seems reasonable for the quantity you are getting as well. I would say that a little improvement with a higher SPF and more convenient pump jar would make this products even better.
I received this cream from the product review club and I've been quite happy with it. It has the fragrance and consistency of a good sunscreen (like Ombrelle, perhaps). It absorbs fairly quickly and keeps my skin soft for a long time. It's a little bit heavier than the moisturizer I use now, but I don't find it too heavy for the summer months. I love that it has SPF 15. A little goes a long way, so a pot would probably last a while. I don't have many wrinkles, but I'm at the age where I'm interested in preventing them, so this cream is a good fit for me!
I have been using Marcelle Essentials 1st Wrinkles Day Cream for just under 2weeks now! This cream is very light and fragrance free. I wouldn't use a cream like this during the winter months but it's ideal for spring/summer. It has helped to keep my face moisturized throughout the day without having to reapply in the afternoon. The only drawback the SPF isn't higher! I don't have wrinkles worth worrying about so can't say if it has worked or not! I do know that I wouldn't mind using this in place of my regular Estee Lauder day cream especially for such a great price!
I was excited to try this out, as I haven't used much Marcelle stuff. This is a pretty light feeling, non-greasy daily moisturizer with SPF. I don't normally wear sunscreen on it's own, but have it in my face creams and tend to put that everywhere else too, or just buy a sunscreen primarily for face as that is my my concern, unless I am at the beach or something and need it all over. This cream will not make your wrinkles disappear, but over time it can improve the appearance of "first wrinkles" so it's good for girls in their late 20's and 30's. I enjoyed trying this out and will continue to see it to observe if there are any changes to the fine lines around my eyes.
