Very surprised at this product which tried compliments of chickadvisor showcase-. While the color triedwould not be my first choice the product itself goes on very smooth and silky and does not feel dry . If it lasts I will be finding a Mary Kay representative to checkout their color options
#gotitfree @ #chickadvisorshowcase For a matte lipstick it is creamy. Applies easily and smoothly. No fragrance and it doesn't taste funny. I got to try Poppy Please a coral color. I'm not a fan of the price, a little high at $21 for me. But I prefer gloss. After wearing it for awhile my lips don't feel too dry, I don't feel like I need to lick my lips.
Fun putting it on cause we got to try 2 kinds but its not as hydrating as I want it to be. The color is alright. Defiantly a bit more matte than my liking.
I like the feel of the lipstick. Nice and creamy feel. It applied well. The colors look deceiving when you put it on. The red ( poppy please) had a more orange tone to it. The dark red was really nice when you put it on. As a free sample, trying the different colors was fun. To buy and just looking at the colors not being able to sample it would be hard at this price point
Trying on lipsticks at a food event is super challenging because I still want to eat after! Anyways, the mat lipsticks applies easily and we tried three colours. An orange red, pink and a velvet red. The color appears a bit different on everybody due to the lip colour and they all look really nice. It did make my lip feel really dry and showed my lip line. Does not stay on too well as it leaves lip stain on the cup. #mksemimatte
I was given a powerful pink sample and to be honest, it wasn't my color so I can't give a very honest review as I didn't enjoy the shade. I find them pricey at $21 for a matte lipstick that came right off on our coffee cups. Would I buy again? It would depend on if I could see different shades that would suit me better.
I tried Mary Kay gel semi-matte lipstick in "Powerful Pink." I liked it at first, after a few mins I noticed that it made my lips feel a bit dry and I noticed some minor bleeding. I would like to try it again but exfoliate my lips before hand and see if I would have better results.
Smooth formula, hard to tell how well it will last through the day since I've only had it on for 5 minutes! Nice packaging. Cool that you can see the color through the top of the lid.
Loved Midnight Red on my Asian skin-tone! Glides on nicely, no nasty scent, very light and stays on nicely without drying up your lips. Vibrant colours and comes in a lovely case. Will wear this regularly!
This Mary Kay Gel Semi-Matte lipstick in Midnight Red was given to me at the ChickAdvisor Showcase to review. This lipstick wasn't quite matte (or semi-matte) on me, even though my sister's (in the shade Poppy Please). The colour is gorgeous- it's a deep red that is perfect for fall. The price is a little expensive at $21. Due to the semi-matte finish, the lipstick does transfer. Overall I did like the colours, but I just wish it was more matte.
