Nature can't compete with satin hands. The environment plays a huge role in our hands skin texture, every winter my hands dry, crack and bleed. Although satin hands doesn't help my hands when they get really bad they do help the early stages and help my hands feel like soft silky woman hands again.
I definately recommend this product it is one of the only products I buy from Avon
I am absolutely in love with this product and I would repurchase it again and again...
Mary Kay's Satin Hands is by far the best hand treatment I have ever used. It leaves your hands ridiculously soft and smelling good.
I was an automotive detailer for years and my hands were always feeling gross (even thought I wore gloves at work) and really dry. I was always searching for a product to make them feel nice again.
I bought this from a Mary Kay sales representative in my city for around $50....Yes it is EXPENSIVE. She was at my friends house and we were trying out some new make up and things and she had this and let me give it a try. I have only purchased this set 2 times as it is REALLY pricey but honestly it is worth it every year to splurge.
I have been using this sparingly over this year, I would use it every couple days if it wasn't so expensive.
In this set It comes with the EXTRA EMOLLIENT NIGHT CREAM, SATIN SMOOTHIE HAND SCRUB, and the HAND CREAM. The sales representative told me to put the night cream all over my hands, then use the scrub, rinse and use the hand cream and WOW does it work!
Using the thick kind of Vaseline like night cream first kind of acts like a barrier to hold in moisture. I find using these products in that order works really well.
Mary Kay Satin Hands is by far the best set out there to keep your hands baby soft. The three step process is extremely easy and each step softens and protects your hands, it even works through several hand washings!
I received this package to try from ChickAdvisor. As far as hand softening systems go, this one's pretty decent. I'm not sure how much it does to heal your hands and dry skin, but it definitely does a good job exfoliating and softening your hands as a whole.
It's a 3 step system.
The Extra Emollient Cream is supposed to soften up calluses and loosen dead skin cells. The Satin Smoothie Hand Scrub is meant to exfoliate the hands. Apparently the whiter the product turns, the dryer your skin is. Lastly, the hand moisturizer is meant to, well, keep your hands moisturized.
My hands felt very soft and smooth afterwards, but I have to admit, I'm not crazy over the smell. It's supposed to be a very neutral scent but to me it smells somewhat medicated... which if it is so I guess is good for you. Other than that, the product worked great on my dry skin.
It's meant to be used only once a week so will last for a while.
My hands get so dry in the winter months. Especially now, at Christmas, when I'm doing extra baking. (extra cleaning, extra hand washing...) I'm keeping a Mary Kay Satin Hands Pampering Set right by the kitchen sink and using it twice a day. My hands look GREAT! I start with the emollient cream, then use the exfoliating scrub. I finish with the lotion, and my hands feel so soft and smooth. No chapping, and very little work with the cuticle cutters at night. This is a great product! There scrub and lotion have a slight peach scent, but an unscented variety is available as well.
I got to try a PR sample of the fragrance free Satin Hands products.
First I have to tell my Hand Softener experience. I didn't read the directions when I got it and was on public transit and decided I'd try the Hand Softener. Weeeeell I learned the hard way that it is not the same thing as a cream/lotion. You are supposed to use it to rub into your skin and it adds a lot of moisture. But it's very oily and so you need to wash it off. Unfortunately I was stuck for the rest of my ride with greasy hands.
On the bottle for the Hand Softener, it does not say that it is supposed to be washed off, but since it is the first item in the set, I assume that it is. At first I thought that the Hand Softener was kind of pointless, but it feels really nice as you rub it into your hands and my hands felt wonderfully soft after using. The next step is the Hand Scrub. It's gently exfoliates and feels nice. I wouldn't say there's anything too special about it, but it does the job. The Hand Cream is very light which is all you need after using the Softener and Scrub. I tried using the Hand Cream on it's own but it's too light for my dry winter skin. But, used as a trio, your hands will feel amazing. I've been using it at night and I wake up with baby soft hands.
I realized that I was wrong. The Hand Softener is not meant to be washed off (although I still think you can). The backs of my hands were very rough a few days ago and other creams weren't working. I started to use just the Hand Softener just on the dry parts (it's too thick and sticky to use everywhere) and now my hands are perfect! I'd definitely recommend this product for spot treating really dry patches.
I love the Satin Hands set! Makes my hands so soft! I love that I don't have to keep re-applying the hand cream after I wash my hands too - it keeps them from drying out over several hand washings! The peach scent is my favourite, hands-down. It reminds me of those fuzzy peach candies! It also comes in Vanilla and fragrance free, but I'm all about the Peachy scent.
The hand softener is also great if you have dry cracked heels too. A thick layer of that stuff and then socks on and your feet feel so soft in the morning. I also sometimes use it on my elbows and knees, as well as hands and feet.
The price for the set of 3 products is excellent because they will last you a very long time! Try it out and I promise you won't be disappointed!
I've tried a few Mary Kay products over the years and I've been pretty pleased with the results. However, if there is only one thing that I would absolutely choose to purchase for the rest of my life out of all their products, it would have to be the Satin Hands Pampering Set. This includes an Extra Emollient Night Cream, a Satin Smoothie Hand Scrub, and the Hand Cream - to be applied in this order for the best results. You basically start off with the night cream and them apply the scrub over it and it will eliminate all the dryness. Rinse your hands and pat them dry and proceed with the moisturizing hand cream. I can gaurantee you will feel like a princess (or prince, for all you men who like to feel pampered as well!).
This set is the most luxurious experience your hands will ever come across. It will make your skin feel so polished and smooth, exactly like satin! Say goodbye to rough, unsightly cuticles, dry knuckles and aligator skin and hello to beautiful, touchable hands. Great for special occasions where you will likely need your hands to look their best (i.e., a job interview, a date, or every day for that matter! It is just sooo great!!). I got so many compliments after I used this and some who touched my hands had to have a second look because they were amazed at how soft they were.
This product is worth every penny and is a great investment. It also seems to last forever because you don't need to use very much to get excellent results. This is definitely something you will not want to live without!
I have used Mary Kay's Satin Hands hand cream off and on over the years, usually alone but also after using the Satin Hands hand scrub. Together, they really do produce satiny smooth hands unlike any other hand cream/combo I've ever tried. It has a light scent and absorbs almost instantly.
I really dislike attending those home parties for any company (eg. Pampered Chef, Tupperware, etc), but if I find myself guilt-tripped into attending a Mary Kay shindig I always order this cream. It's also reasonably priced (the scrub is around double the cost). Winter-chapped hands will thank you, and so I recommend it!
