This brand does its job as any no name brand prenatal pill would do but it's just too expensive. I'll buy it if it's on sale but that's about it. The pills are averaged sized.
Used this multivitamin before, during, and after my pregnancy (while breastfeeding). It is an average sized pill for a multivitamin. I have seen horse sized calcium pills and this is no where near that size. And it is a pretty pink color.
Yes, it is a bit expensive..about 17$ Canadian at Walmart but with a coupon you can get it for about 13-14$ which is about what you pay for the no name brands. The bonus is that it is a trusted brand. You can also get samples from your OBS just by asking.
I did find that during my pregnancy I had to take the vitamin with food or else I felt nauseated...but I believe that was directly related to hormones and not the vitamin itself.
This vitamins are so expensive. The pill is huge, very hard to swallow especially when you have morning thickness. "Life" brand prenatal vitamin has same constituents as Materna, but less expensive and easy to swallow.
This prenatal vitamin is way too expensive. It contains the same amounts of vitamins and minerals as the cheaper generic types. I found no difference.
