Does not smooth my hair or leave soft

I bought this after recently getting bayalage. Smell is great; fresh and clean. The shampoo suds up great and left hair feeling good but the conditioner....oh my word. It did nothing. I felt I had to put so much product on and I still had a wet and tangly mess. Once I towel dried, getting a comb or a pick through it, felt like I was pulling out all my hairs. I was extremely disapointed because I did use this product about 10 years ago and swore by it. I am in my late 40s and maybe my hair changed? Or the product changed. Regardless of what changed, it's not for me and I wouldn't recomend.

I do love these products but for some reason the conditioner leaves behind a residue in my hair. I can rinse my hair for 20 minutes and still feel a heavy film after showering.
