A bit too 'bold'
I was interested to try this given the claims of added caffeine and bold flavours - Well, the flavour was certainly bold, almost too much so. Did I notice a considerable difference between the 112mg of caffeine in regular Maxwell vs 196mg in the 1.75X? Not that I can say really, but my caffeine tolerance is quite high. Others might find the taste alone to be too strong...
Later, flavour
Dont buy this coffee if you're looking for a good tasting beverage. This is not the one. But if you are looking for something with a bit more kick, then this will work. If it wasnt for the awful taste, I would buy this more often. Too bad.
just okay
We're not coffee connoisseurs or anything, our regular coffee brand at home is Maxwell, and we do take instant coffee as well. Max Boost says it has 1.5 times more caffeine. Again, I'm not much of a coffee drinker, so it tasted the same to me (and my husband). I'm not too sure about the extra caffeine either, I felt about the same. Then again, I only drink about half a cup of coffee per day maximum, since I am pregnant, and I don't drink everyday either.
It comes in a smaller tin than the regular Maxwell House coffee we buy, and a bit more expensive too. It's an okay coffee to me, but because of the price difference we'll stick to our regular blue tins.
