This mascara Is good for everyday use. I wouldn't use it for a night out but for grocery shopping or running errands sure. It just doesnt give my lashes the va va boom I like but it does work decent.
I love this mascara. When I first started using mascara a few years ago this was the brand I used. At first I was a little skeptical about the brush but it is actually really helpful. I usually have trouble doing my lower lashes and always end up doing too much but the small end of the brush is really good for getting just the right amount on the lower lashes and inner corner of the eye. It was also pretty cheap so that was a bonus. This is definitely on of my make up essentials!
I came across this new "Lots of Lashes" version of the classic great lash at Shoppers Drug Mart, (my second place of worship :) I was there to pick up a prescription and of course I HAD to visit the beauty section.
My first impression on Packaging:
- Loved the bright bold display of the new Brush
- Was intrigued at the smaller size and shape of the brush
- It was Maybelline, and of course I had to buy it!
Pros:
- Easy to build your lashes up
- Lengthens and provides volume
- Buildable formula
- Smaller brush shape allows you to get into the inner corner
Cons:
- You have to be careful with the thickness of the formula
Final Thoughts:
I would recommend this product for all Lash lovers! The small brush does provide an easier method to build lashes and great for lower lashes to get some impact. It's a great update to the Classic Great Lash!
The brush is the BEST part of this mascara! Its so small, which makes it easy to get the bottom lashes, and the ones in the inner corner. It does flake a bit, which is a down side to this mascara. But the name is very appropriate for this mascara, it gives you the illusion of "lots of lashes".
This mascara appears to be the same Maybelline that it's always been in the pink and green tube, but with one glaring difference - the brush! It's got a ton of tiny teeth, gradually decreasing in size, so it's like a 360 degree comb. It gets even the smallest lashes, and separates them very well. I've cursed the day drug store makeup brands stopped using the comb brush since Maybelline discontinued Lash Stylist. This is a great twist on the classic Great Lash mascara.
I bought this the other week at Wal-Mart and I'm pleasantly surprised by how much I like this! It is definitely an improvement on the original Great Lash mascara- I don't think I will go back to the old one.
I've been using CoverGirl Lash Blast lately and I found this one comparable. I was a little taken aback at how small the brush was at first but it does the job.
The small end of the brush is great for the inner corners of your eye and the large, fat end is perfect for the outer corners. I tend to apply my mascara on an angle to get big lashes and this helps with it. Doing your opposite eye (i.e. with your non dominant hand) is difficult but manageable.
There is no real difference in formulas here- but the brush is an improvement and I like the look and length it gives. Your lashes are thicker, there is a difference in volume too but I really noticed length.
I've always been a big fan of Maybelline Great Lash mascara... There's a reason it's been the #1 mascara for years. They decided to try something a little different with their new Lots of Lashes edition, introducing a new "lash grabber" brush, which is kind of... pear shaped. Upon my first few tries of this mascara, I'm not the biggest fan of the new brush. It found it to be a little difficult to use given the shape and wasn't able to achieve the lush results I usually get with Great Lash. Same formula which I love, but I'm not the biggest fan of the brush. Still worth giving a try, everyone likes their lashes different ways! Personally, I'll be sticking to the tried and true original.
