This product left a weird colour to my lips. It is definitely not what I expected. It it more of a lipstick with chapstick in it than a tinted chapstick.
I did not like this product at all. What a waste of money. The color payoff was nice on the Cherry flavored one, however, they constantly left my lips parched, cracked and with lots of dry skin. I would not purchase these again and was really disappointed in the poor quality and effectiveness.
I do not likes this as a lip balm. They are great to give a little color to your lips but not moisturizing enough, in fact they dry up my lips.
I was extremely excited to use this product for I heard it not only smelt good, but worked well for dry lips. When I had purchased this item it was in the winter season and it was the hottest lip balm available. I bought it used it for about a week and found that my lips were becoming more dry and chapped then they we before. Of course different ethnic groups have different types of skin and require certain ingredients to keep skin moisturized, but this product was immediately put in my not so good pile and I had to run out and buy a different brand. Nayyyy!
Super cute packaging really got me, left the store with 3 different shades. I found the product to be very drying, and it gave very little pigmentation. I would say this is a product to buy a little girl who wants to play around with lipstick. I am a huge maybelline fan but I will never buy this again.
For me this product was bad. It's oily from the beginning and it doesn't stay on the lips if you drink and eat, but it feels unpleasent after a hour or two if you just don't touch your lips to anything. Greesy, not tasty, didn't do anything for my lips except torment them for a good hour before I finally decided to quit it and just take it off. Smell isn't also a thumbs up, so this was a definite no-no for me.
I love the look of Baby Lips on, however, I find my lips even more chapped after wearing it! I seems more of a lower quality lipstick rather than a lip balm.
I know about all the hype around these lip balms, but let me start off by saying that it's completely undeserved. I get that the packaging is cute, and the claims of "8 hour hydration" and "better lips in just 2 weeks" may entice people to purchase this product, but it's just not worth your $3-4. I have to admit that the color range is decent, but most of the shades (especially peach kiss!) have an overwhelming amount of shimmer that turn them into teeny bopper makeup items rather than quality hydrating balms. Speaking of hydration, this one has little to none. It may seem like it's working when you first apply it, but once it's on your lips for a few minutes, you realize that it just sits there and does practically nothing. My one concession is that it smells pretty great. But if you're looking for a legitimately hydrating lip product, spend your 3 bucks on some Nivea or good old Chapstick brand. They have some great scents (and even some tinted products) that far surpass Baby Lips. The only thing great about Maybelline's product is the huge hype surrounding it.
