Maybelline New York Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser
There seems to be a lot of mixed reviews regarding the Maybelline New York Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser! There are some cons to this product but some major pros as well.
First of all, it is extremely inexpensive and can be used as a primer, primers are usually so expensive that I don't use one at all most of the time as I cant justify spending all that money on a small tube of primer. The Maybelline New York Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser is extremely cheap and can often be found on sale at major drugstores as well. It does work as a primer, yes it is silicone-y and can also be over powering on your face. I recommend using a very little amount and working a few minutes on blending and leave it on your face to set a few minutes before going to your foundation.
It completely blurs your pores as it advertises! I have bigger pores around my cheeks and nose and when I am using this you cant see them at all once I am finished my makeup application.
however, I do not recommend this if you have greasy/oily skin as it may make it worse throughout the day.
All in all this has worked great for me ( also can be used as a lipstick primer! ) and is very affordable.
I like it
I like this product overall. It does what it says which is blur my gigantic pores. It blends smoothly and doesn't look cakey after I put my foundation or tinted moisturizer.
Good primer, but not quite a dupe for Porefessional
I had seen this dubbed a dupe for Benefit The Porefessional all over the Internet, so I was excited to put it to the test. I did one side of my face using the Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser, and the other side with Benefit The Porefessional to really get a good comparison. I found that the Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser needed to be patted into the skin rather than smoothed on like the Porefessional. On its own, I found my pores on the Porefessional side were noticeably more "blurred" and less visible. When it came time to apply foundation, I needed to apply two layers on the Maybelline Baby Skin side to match the one layer on the Porefessional side.
Overall, I wouldn't say that the Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser comes close to being a dupe for Benefit The Porefessional, however, it is still a very good drugstore primer, and not a bad alternative if you don't want to shell out thearly considerably higher price tag for the Porefessional. Personally, I will be sticking with Benefit Porefessional, but will keep this as a back up.
Smooth Skin as baby but Does not minimize pores at all
this product was a major dissapointment. all it was able to do was give me oily face with that silicone feeling. my pores remained the exact same. i wouldnt recommend this at all.
Smooth Skin but Does not hide pores
So i tested this out as i have gigantic pores. Its a soft siliconey touch on my skin, so that makes it super smooth, however greasy. and also, most importantly it does absolutely nothing to hide or minimize pores. my skin looked the exact same after.
Best afforable primer
This is tge vest primer for under budget it works like wonder on your skin like expensive one so i really like this primer. It makes my skin smooth and my foundation stays all day long
Baby skin leaves my face feeling fantastic and very smooth. I am quite picky with the products I put on my face and would highly recommend this product.
I did not care for this at all for my skin type. I gave it a try twice to see if it just needed time but it was a fail both times. It is very inexpensive which I thought was good if i liked it I would not have to spend much to keep purchasing it. I did not use the whole tube, I believe i threw it away. I have oily skin and this just made the oil worse for me. While i wore this too it made the makeup not stick to my pores which made my skin look even worse. It felt very oily as soon as i put it on and i tried letting it set or dry and then put make up on but nothing at all worked for me, I know other people love this but for me it was a no for sure.
I've tried this primer because it was super cheap compares to other pore refiner primer. I liked it BUT.... for me, it feels just a little bit to sillcony.... when you rub it to your face, it seems that you will have to rub like for an hour lol! Not that much but. It did the job very well, it's cheap but not my favorite! :)
I did not notice that it hid the appearance of large pores. The consistency seemed too airy in order to do the job. I was really hoping I could have used it as a primer but it didn't do the job for me.
