I didnt like the smell of this or the look. I found it made my lashes look average, but nothing I would buy again! I try all new mascaras so I was excited, but very disappointed with this.

When i first got this i used it all the time. But everytime it was even a little humid outside it would smudge. It wouldn't clump but make my eyelashes so thick they looked fake.

This mascara could be better if I didn't have to apply several coats of it to get the voluminous lashes along with the lenght i desire. Also, I find that it smears and I end up having ratcoon eyes at times. It would also be better if it was waterproof.

I did not notice any difference in my lashed when I used this product. I ended up giving it to my daughter because the haddle was very uncomfortable to hold. It is very fat and has no ridges for gripping, It slipped out of my hand twice and I gave it up.

I was not really impressed with this mascara. I had heard so much hype I just had to go out and get it and was really dissapointed with the results. It does make your lashes darker and a little longer but that is about it...save your money.

ok so i dont know what all the fuss was about i loved the brush its self but the mascara seemed way to thick for the brush its supposed to lenghten lashes *sky high* but it made my eyelashes stick straight out i never haver have to curl my lashes but with this product i did it also says clump free which is a total lie like i said its so thick all it can do is clump and when it dries it starts to flake off in your eye

Being fully honest the bottle was what attracted me to it the most, however after watching all the commercials i was convinced that it was the new miracle to my eyelash woes....then i bought it. The first thing i noticed was the smell, it kind of smelled the way too old mascara does, gross. when i put it on excited that i might be underestimating it, i looked in the mirror to be slightly dissapointed. The mascara did not much more then my regular cheap mascara (which only costed me a dollar) did. Personally i didnt find any satisfaction in this product except the nice packaging.

The Maybelline Volume Express Mascara comes with a not so nice smell that last all day. I wouldn't strongly recommend it.

It took awhile before I had an occasion to wear and test out this mascara but I finally got to try it out. I found that Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express worked well at making my lashes look full. It gave me volume and lenghthened my lashes that can be somewhat sparse. I have to agree with some of the other reviewers though, I did not like the smell of the product. I am really picky when it comes to makeup and fragrance. I have liked the look of many glosses etc but if they smell too chemically or fragrant I get rid of them. Anyway, I don't like that this mascara smells a bit strong and chemically. MissChickie is right though, you cannot smell it when it is on...so I guess I can always plug my nose during application!

Maybelline is one of the biggest Mascara Seller in the world. So I have big expectations each time the compagny launches a new Mascara.
I think that The Colossal is the best version of Volum'Express line (especially compared with Turbo Boost).
But there is 2 problems :
1) To get this "colossal" volume, I needed to put at least 6 coats and I was still not happy with the result. I like intense volume but it wasn't the case. We are far from the "instant effect" the compagny promises in the advertising.
2) The special yellow brush doesn't comb well (it doesn't separate well the lashes). My lashes were a bit clumped.
The positive points :
1)It doesn't give only volume, it lifts the lashes with each coat and gives lenght (compared with other volume mascaras)
2) The staying power is amazing : no smudge, no stains, no flakes.
3) It's easy to remove.
Anyway, I don't recommand it. I prefer orange than yellow.... ;)
