I had heard so many great things about this mascara I just had to go out and get it. I went to walmart and it was on sale for $6.95. Good deal since i normally pay about 10 for one. I chose the colour glam brown to make my blue eyes pop. It comes in a bright yellow tube with purple writing I like the packaging its very glam. The brush is a big one with lots of bristles and shows no visible clumping. The formula itself is a very wet one which is good in some ways because it won't dry up as quick as non wet one. When i applied the formula to my lashes I realized two things. 1. the smell was awful! it was like they had put a floral roseish smell, I never realized that mascara had a smell before but this was just gross. 2: it wasn't quick drying and left little dots where my eyelashes met my brow bone. As for the results it left mty lashes seperated and volumious and lengthened a bit too. What i didnt like was it didnt provide enough volume at the root where you need it most and it didnt coat the light tips of my lashes. All in all its a good mascara and a good deal and I will continue to repurchase this.

Not my first choice but Im pretty picky and have sparse straight lashes so I dont think most volume mascaras actually work. This one is ok

I recently tried the Maybelline Colossal mascara from their Volume Express line. It comes in a fat, bright yellow tube, so it's pretty hard to miss. I had read mixed reviews about this mascara, but I kept an open mind about it. Our lashes are unique, so what may be trash for some, can turn out to be a treasure for others. With that being said, I absolutely love this mascara. My eyelashes doubled in length and volume. What impressed me the most was that I got instant curl, something I have not had with other mascaras without using an eyelash curler. After two coats of the Colossal, it seemed as though I had fake lashes on. This mascara did not flake or smudge throughout the day and it was very easy to remove.
The only downside is that by the end of the day, my lashline was getting a little itchy, but it was not intolerable. I would consider purchasing this mascara again!

Before I go into details, you should know that I don't think this product is super amazing. It's normal. I decided to purchase some drugstore makeup after reading some review, and browsing around. I heard that The Colossal mascara was similar to Lash Blast, which has great ratings. This product isn't expensive at all in my opinion, it cost me $8.99 at my London Drugs. The tube is bold and bright yellow. I don't care too much for packaging as long as it's not an epic failure. I bought this in the normal brown color, even though I have black lashes. As I opened the tube, I saw that the brush was large, similar to the size of my Benefit BadGal Plum mascara. I'm used to this size, but if you are bad with big brushes, you may need to be more careful during application. This mascara -does- have a rose scent, which doesn't bother me too much because it's not very strong. On the packaging it claims to be able to make lashes x9 thicker, but that's not the case. It's just like any other ordinary mascara, about twice as thick, maybe a little more depending on how many coats you apply. This color that I chose (brown) really brings out my dark eyes which are also brown. It holds a nice curl, despite it's ordinary thickening talents. **It does not smudge at all, nor does it flake.** It's a decent mascara. You should give it a shot because it may work wonders for you. I would try other types of mascara instead of repurchasing because there isn't anything too significant about this one.

Smells so awful and gave me spider lashes. Maybelline gets me every time with their mascara packaging and I am always sad after I fall for it.

I love this product! This covers your lashes to make them appear really long and thick. Friends comment how much more my lashes look thicker and longer, I also recommened this to friends and all loved it.

i'm using this mascara right now it's bad. it makes my lashes look thicker. and the packaging isn't bad. The brush isn't bad but i wish it were a lil smaller

This is the mascara I'm currently using and I get compliments when I use it and I love it so much, it gives your lashes nice length and volume, it doesn't flake. transfer or clump and the brush is very nice and thick. It last all day long and it's very easy to remove... the only thing that I don't like is the smell but it's not that big of a deal. Overall it's a great product if your looking for length and volume

I used to use the Maybelline Volum' Express, so I thought I'd try this since it was on for $4 at Wal-Mart on sale. Glad I only paid the $4, because I was highly dissapointed. To be fair, I do like my mascara to be a thicker formula, and with some clumping. I have very long lashes, and like some more product on them to make them fuller. I thought that was what this was supposed to do, but NO, it really did not!

I have purchased this product, Physician's Formula, Rimmel, Cover Girl, Almay, Benefit, MAC, and Loreal Mascaras this month, and of all of them, this one won my least favorite vote!

I personally didnt like this mascra. Was clumpy and didnt do nothing for my lashes . i wouldnt reccomend this one
