You can tell it's different the first time you use it. After just one coat, I was surprised how much it lifted and seperated...and no clumps, my eyelashes were huge!
It also stood the test of an 8hr work day, no flakes...I've been using this product for a week now. I've had two girls ask what mascara I use!!! I'm not sure what type of eyelashes you may have, but you need to try this mascara!

I've tried many different mascaras but always come back to the maybelline great lash mascara user (the green/pink bottled one), you know which one I'm talking about...it's a classic. This new one does a much better job at creating volume and seperating, I am so impressed! You mean we don't have to go to the ends of the earth and pay an arm and a leg for a tiny tube of mascara? Thank you Maybelline!!

This is one of the better mascaras I've tried. Granted, Maybelline has been a fabulous brand for me, but this really made my lashes look thick, full of life and absolutely wonderful!!!!

Well worth a try, it's no DiorShow, but it doesn't cost $18, and for the quality price, you can't beat it.

Got the Maybelline Colossal Masacra and let me just say I was skeptical of all the claims being made (i.e. "9x bigger"). But I gave it a go.

First, WOW... the brush handle was easy to hold onto and actual bristles are very compact taking in the perfect amount of mascara (no need to pump).
As I applied it, I noticed an instant difference with my lashes. Mind you I already have really long ones where ppl think they're fake (previously using L'Oreal's Voluminous), but this sure made them even super long with a bit of help from an eye lash curler (unfortunately this does not give the added curl affect). I won't say this masacra makes lashes 9x longer/thicker, perhaps 5-6X. I usually apply 2-3 coats for a dramatic look, but I only needed one coat for this mascara. The texture is smooth. The collagen in this product definitely makes eyelashes look very natural and plump them up right away.

However, I get overly excited when mascaras claim no clumping, but sure enough there were some tiny ones which had to be combed through. Also, this product is limited in shades and should come in waterproof.

Overall, if you want dramatic lashes with the help of a curler... this is your DREAM mascara!!!

I don't have very long lashes, so I always try to use a mascara that lengthens. Although this didn't, I found that it really fills and thickens my lashes. So, I use my Maybelline New York Define-a lash (the lime green bottle) first - to lengthen and then use the Colossal to thicken. It works really well. The only thing is I am sensitive to smells and can't believe how terrible this is! It is very strong at first and I thought it would go away, but I can smell it until I wash it off before bed. I won't use it often, but definitely when I'm going out on the town and want to look fantabulous :)

I, like many other people, was struck by the smell of this product. I've never found a mascara to have a smell before, and I would really like to know why it smells so strongly. However, I didn't find i could smell it anymore after it dried.
Initially I found the huge brush unwieldy and awkward, but once I got used to it I actually like it a lot. If I spin and zigzag the brush while applying, the coverage is amazing and really pumps up the volume. I have stubby little lashes and found this worked better and easier than the 2-step mascaras I have tried in the past. And I've also tried the predecessors of this mascara and found that it does work better than the others.

Overall, I really liked this mascara! I would buy it again, for sure. It has quite a bargain price.

This mascara is the worst mascara I ever used. It has a potent smell that I have never had before in a mascara that lasts all day. I get nauseas from the smell and have to wash it off, and I have only used it twice. My friends eyes swelled shut after using this as well, I would not recommend it to anyone!

I was excited to try a new mascara from Maybelline New York as I have stuck by their Great Lash for quite a few years now. I would not say it is better but it is just as good. The only thing it is lacking in comparison is the brush is bigger so I find it can't get the little lashes in the inner corner of my eye as well. But this is an excellent mascara. Very cute design too!

This one did not work for me. I found that although it had lengthened my lashes, it left them quite sparse. They looked like spider legs. My lashes are sparse to begin with, and it did not make them any fuller. I tried really hard but putting on many coats, but they just got more spider-like. At least it did make them longer!

Still I will not by buying this one again. The complementary colours of yellow and purple work really well in drawing your eye to the product on the shelves. It's well-designed packaging. Though it is what's inside that counts the most and that did not live up to the packaging.

I really liked this. And I am picky when it comes to mascara. It doesn't clump as much as other products, and I could probably get away with 1 coat, but am still applying 2 out of habit. My lashes are long, but this makes them pop! I like that it comes off easily as well. It smudges a bit after alot of wear, but this is definitely a product I will be buying in the future...
