It was quite an unexpected surprise to be selected to try the #DreamBlender #gotitfree thanks to @MaybellineCAN and the #MaybellineDreamVelvet #ProductReviewClub offer from @ChickAdvisor. The #DreamBlender is an ideal beauty tool. I found it helpful to have hands on instructions on the back of the box to ensure a positive experience. The #DreamBlender felt comfortable in my grip; it also made the application process very smooth and helped me achieve a professional finish. The pointed tip made it easy to reach the delicate under eye area as well as the curves alongside the bridge of my nose. It glided effortlessly across my skin and applied the desired amount of foundation without much effort on my part. The sponge is an ideal size and the thickness helps you distribute the foundation. I found that I had no problem applying the #MaybellineDreamVelvet with this innovative #DreamBlender. The #DreamBlender is the beauty tool that I will be using from now on. It was also a cinch to wash the foam and remove the excess foundation. I really enjoyed my experience and would recommend this product.

I think it's a cool idea to have a sponge with a handle so I don't have to get foundation on my hands, and be able to go around tight areas on my face that would allow me to blend certain areas in a different ways but not sure I was blown away. The sponge soaked a lot of foundation into the sponge tgat I'm no sure a lot of foundation made it onto my face. Another small minor issue was that I would push harder on the handle of the applicator to try and get it to absorb on my skin I felt the handle was going to break off. Not the most flexible of handles. What I did like about the blender was that it did blend nicely under my eyes and around my nose with the pointed tip where it didn't require as much pressure. I think I'll be sticking with my regular old sponges.

Gotta say, I was unimpressed. This should come free with the foundation! Clearly it isn't too hard to make an affordable sponge, just look at Real Techniques. This blender doesn't move, and picks up way too much product. For someone who has used a Beauty Blender for years, I'd rather buy one good sponge and take care of it than one crappy dense sponge that will probably harbour bacteria since it can't be manipulated or washed easily. At least the foundation is nice!!

This is my first experience using a foundation applicator and I actually really like it. I find that it is easier to evenly apply my makeup and can build-up a second layer in certain areas if I need to. The shape of the applicator is perfect for applying around my nose and under my eyes as I use foundation as an under-eye concealer. My foundation went on very smoothly and didn't leave a streaky appearance.

This blender definitely does its job! It very smoothly and evenly blends out my foundation, leaving great coverage completely hassle free. The size & shape are perfect and it easily gets in corners and edges.

I received this product for free from the Chick Advisor Product Review club for testing purposes. Call me crazy, but I have never used a sponge or a brush for my foundation, just my good ol' fingers! So, this was a completely new experience for me. I liked the shape of the sponge & the handles de it easy to hold and maneuver. I followed the directions on the package for how to apply foundation with it & definitely found it was too heavy with a dry sponge. Wet is better! Also the sponge was quite firm. I did really like how easy it was to use the point of the sponge to apply & blend, though.

I find that this blender per se takes some getting use to. The sponge is extremely firm- not soft in comparison with others. What did not appeal to me is the fact that it strongly absorbs the foundation, resulting in having to use a lot more foundation than usual. The shape of the sponge is however, easy to maneuver around the eye area.

I've purchased several other brands foundation sponges . . . both that ridiculously expensive one we all know the name of and several imitators. I found the Maybelline New York Dream Blender to be somewhere in between.

I preferred to wet the sponge before applying the Maybelline Dream Velvet foundation. It did help to make a little bit of foundation go a lot further, and gave nice even application.

The attached handle made application a bit tricky, and I found I would have preferred to not have the handle attached at all. I also didn't like that the handle allows a place for water and foundation to sit, not allowing me to thoroughly wash (and dry) the blender.

While I really enjoyed the Maybelline Dream Velvet foundation, I would pass on the Dream Blender in the future.

Maybelline New York Dream Blender is a foundation blending sponge ideally meant to be used with Dream Velvet Foundation. I am sure you can use this beauty tool with other foundations but I have not tried. The greatest thing about this next-generation applicator is that it offers different types of coverage. Before use, wet & towel dry for lighter coverage or don't and blend for a thicker even finish. The pointed-tip is perfect for getting into tight corners around the nose and eye area. Use the sides to blend in a circular motion on cheeks and outward on the forehead & chin. I am still learning what this miracle beauty tool can do.
