Every time I've used a similar blender I've thought - this would be awesome on a wand. I've used this for a few weeks now and it's much easier to get the stippled effect. I appreciate the size around my eyes, nose and mouth. It is definitely a tool in my arsenal now!
I used the #Dreamblender with the #MaybellineDreamVelvet #foundation I haven't used a #liquidFoundation in a long time because they tend to be messy and too watery, not enough coverage. But with this #Maybelline Dream blender it was NOT any of the above! The blender was easy to use and I was able to get into every crease, without messing my hands or making a mess. I was able to control if I wanted maximum coverage, by using a dry blender or slight coverage when using a wet blender. The coverage from the blender was amazing, it hid all of my skin inconsistencies and sun spots. And the best part was the setting, it was a matte velvet smooth.I didn't have to use a powder to set my look at all! . The two products went hand in hand with eachother. While I WAS interested in this beauty blender initially due to the applicator handle, I think it's more trouble than it's worth. It's very similar to the Beauty Blender micro-blender, but it's much HARDER than the micro-blender. I actually felt like the Maybelline Dream Blender was a bit too rough for use on sensitive/hard to reach places. It was also harder to clean than other blenders because the applicator prevents you from really working soap into it and squeezing it dry.
If you ONLY want a blender for those small touch ups, it might be ok, but it does eat a LOT of product too, just be warned.

I was recently chosen to review this product compliments of @chickadvisor and Maybelline on the Maybelline New Dream Blender. I was very excited to use this product since this was my first time using this type of blender. I had seen them so many times but hadn't been convinced to switch over. Since using the maybelline dream blender I am a fan now and a new consumer. My dream velvet foundation looked flawless and almost had airbrushed effect. Was just dazzling
LOVED the dream blender! I received this product from Chic Advisor for testing purposes. I usually use a brush to apply my foundation, so i was very curious to try the dream blender. I really liked the way it worked - wet it a little and dry with a towel add some foundation and blend. I found it left no streaky lines (as I often find with my brush) and made for a beautiful application. I WILL buy this product and would recommend to anyone. I also love the fact that it looks like a mini microphone ;)

I just finished reviewing the Dream Velvet Foundation which came with the blender and I want to say again that I LOVED it...
And because I always do my best to be truly honest in my reviews, I wish I could say the same for the blender :( I was super excited to try this product out. In theory, I love the idea. A sponge with a handle so I don't have to get foundation on my hands, and with contours that would allow me to blend certain areas in a different ways.
Unfortunately in execution it just didn't work out that way in my opinion. First of all, when I put the foundation provided on the applicator, it seems to soak into the sponge so much that very little actually made it onto my face. This was a tad disappointing, but I put more on and kept trying. After what seemed like way too much foundation wasted in the sponge, I encountered another challenge - I as tried to apply without it seeping in to much, I would push harder on the handle of the applicator to try and get it to absorb on my skin. I felt like the sponge was going to break off the handle, and didn't want to push any harder.
I really wanted to give this a fair shot though so I tried it with my other fully liquid foundation, just in case it was the mousse style that was sinking in...it was slightly better with a full liquid, but I still felt like I was needing to use far more than I usually do when applying foundation.
It did blend nicely under my eyes and around my nose with the pointed tip where it didn't require as much pressure but the amount I had to use to get coverage for my dark circles just didn't seem right.
I'm so sorry to say that unfortunately I'll be sticking with my regular old sponges on this one...the thought is a good one, but this product just didn't do what I'd hoped.

I have been testing the Maybelline New York Dream Blender all week along with the velvet foundation. I have used this product many ways. At first, I tried to use the Dream Blender to apply the foundation all over my face and I struggled using the product because the sponge was a little to small and took a long time to blend out the foundation. After just playing around and trying the sponge out different ways I found that I love using this to blend out foundation around my nose and eye area because the sponge is the perfect size. I also used it to blend out concealer.
I do like this product a lot but not as a foundation blender for your whole face. I do recommend this to anyone looking for a small sponge blender that really blends out foundation and concealer around the eyes and nose area because it does an amazing job. I will continue using this as part of my face makeup routine!
I received Maybelline New York Dream Blender for free as a member of the product review club. Retail price-$7.99. You are supposed to use the blender with the foundation. Before use it's recommended that you wet and towel dry for lighter coverage. I did this upon initial application. The blender dries immediately so you don't have to wait around long. I really found there was no point in it. I applied half of the foundation with the blender the rest with my fingers. I just found it easier to use my fingers to gently blend in the foundation. Unless you are keeping the blender in its original packaging it does not come with a cover. Which is a bit silly because I wouldn't want to just throw it into a makeup bag exposed. I'd pass on this and wouldn't recommend you're better off using other makeup sponges or your fingers!
I received this product to review as part of ChickAdvisors Product Review Club. I love beauty sponges so I was really happy to get to test this out. It was just ok. I found it to be quite small. I am used to using something a little larger, so it took some getting used to. It did blend the foundation well, but I felt that it took longer than my usual one due to the smaller size
Use a beauty blender or cheaper similar beauty sponge. This is poor quality IMO for what you pay and is so firm and i just didn't like using it with the foundation. I received this free from chickadvisor to review and I just can't get on the bandwagon for this tool. I also found it doesn't clean very well and the foundation stains it instead of it it washing off the sponge.
