This is a neat little tool! Even though the application time takes a little longer, I do like the results of using this along with the new Dream Velvet Soft-Matte Hydrating Foundation. I prefer using a damp applicator for a lighter coverage, but at the end of the day, it works well wet or dry. The shape is easy to hold and the handle makes it easy to maneuver. It's a nice set!
I recieved this product as part of the Chick Advisor product review club to test and review. I was very excited and had high hopes for this blender, but was a bit let down after using it. The blender is well designed, but isn't very effective - The shape of the sponge is perfect for getting into those hard to reach places, but the texture of the sponge seems to suck up more foundation than it blends, therefor forcing you to use more than you normally would. I would pass on this one, especially if you have used other high end blenders!
I got to try this product from chick advisor product review club. I have never used a application sponge like this before I always just used my fingers so this was a new experience for me, And I gotta say I love it...The sponge made the foundation go on nice and even no streaks etc... And to clean it I just added a drop of soap lathered it up and washed it off and set it to dry, I love the Dream blender it has become my fav new makeup tool. Thank you chick advisor
I received this product for free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. The blendable brush helped apply foundation on my face and not make me look as cakey as normal foundations do. I recommend you need the brush when applying this type as without it, it may not look as good. Not sure how it would even work on other foundations but i wouldn't want to cross committee them too much without a wash.
I really wanted to like the Maybelline New York Dream Blender, but realized it just isn't something I enjoy. The little handle is a great idea in theory, but it just doesn't work well with the sponge tip. The sponge does not soak up very much water. I expected the sponge to slightly expand when wet, but it didn't because it is so dense. It doesn't blend foundation as easily or as quickly as I had hoped.
Its taking me a while to get used to the Maybelline New York Dream Blender that I received for free from Chickadvisor. It takes a while to blend in your whole face so if your in a rush, use a foundation brush. The blender does get the finer details to hide your unwanted flaws such as breakouts. The look of the blender is sleek looking. I don't know if I would pay $7.99 for the blender compared to a brush. Not sure how long it would last and how to clean it.
I was lucky enough to receive this product to review from ChickAdvisor. I tried using this with multiple foundations and found a few issues: the blender is too hard to evenly distribute foundation, it is too small to use efficiently, and it soaks up my foundation. Nice idea but poor execution.
I found that it worked well but was easier to just use my fingers to apply foundation. I would use it if I really want to take time to do my makeup before a big outing, but in the morning I need quick
It ate to much of my foundation. I usually use my fingers or a foundation brush. I did use it with a highlighter instead and did like that. I like the idea of it but I have never been a sponge/ blender fan
I quite enjoyed the dream blender. I found it helped apply my foundation evenly and was good for control when needing a little extra coverage. I did find myself putting my finger on the blender itself on occasion though instead of just using the handle. That said, I did like the fact that the little handle was there. I will continue to use it and I would consider getting a new one once this one gets too old to use.
