I got this product for free from product review club, but I probably wont buy it myself. The idea seems cool, and in general i really enjoy the "beauty blender" i have, but this sponge just just poorly designed. In order to use it you have to wet it and it becomes hard because of the handle, which really gets in the way. The size and shape are also not very convenient, it's too small for the whole face, and I find that the handle just gets in the way, I think i'd prefer it way more without the handle. The sponge itself is not bad quality, the shape is nice to use around the nose and under eyes, but I think I'd much rather use my beauty blender.
I am not generally a big user of foundation sponges because I find my fingers to be the best tool. I was happy to receive this from Chickadvisor because it's not something I would have bought normally.
It is definitely a good blending sponge. It feels nice and has a good texture, and I love that it had a handle, so you don't have to have your fingers all over the applicator. That being said, I still apply my foundation with my fingers. I would probably use this for a cream blush though.
I loved this blender! Although I wish the sponge was larger so you could apply to a larger area, the tip was great for blending around the edges of the nose and under the eyes. And I loved the plastic handle, it made it way easier to grab onto and control, without getting makeup all over your fingers!
Je n'avais jamais essayé un produit comme celui-là, wow!!! Ça va tellement bien pour étendre le fond de teint!!! J'adore!!!! Merci de m'avoir permis d'essayer ce produit!!! :)
I have been using the Maybelline New York Dream Blender for a week specifically with the Maybelline New York Dream Velvet Foundation in Classic Ivory. I have not been using it as a blender mostly because my makeup tends to be sparse and I don't do contouring or anything fun like that.
I have been using this blender as an applicator to great effect. I love that it lets me put my foundation on evenly with no splotches of colour here or there. I love that I can use the blender in a dabbing motion to cover spots or uneven areas and those areas will blend seamlessly with the rest of my face.
The blender sponge is soft but keeps its shape during application adding the needed resistance when passing it over skin.
Yay! #MaybellineDreamBlender

I got to try the Maybelline New York Dream Blender free thanks to chickadvisor and Maybelline. I was excited to try it out. I've been working with the sponge and trying to make work effectively. I am happy I tried it but I find it hard to work tight spots with it and my fingers work better. I like the blender for larger areas of my face but it's not a needed tool for me.
I tried using this with the foundation and it just did not work the way it claimed it would or even how I thought. I use sponges and blenders on a daily basis and this one is not a good one for foundation, Now I did find that it blends my cream blush good and my cream highlight so it's not a total waste, but if you were wanting to use this for foundation I would skip it.
I did receive this product for free from chickadvisor for review purposes. All options are my own.
I like this blender because of the shape. It is great especially for concealer/foundation under the eyes and for touchups throughout the day. The only challenge is cleaning because of the hard texture. The price is reasonable and the handle makes it easier to use than other blending sponges.
I love the smaller size of the dream blender compared to my regular sponges as you can use the smaller tip to blend around the eyes and nose well but was a little put off by the handle. Maybe because I am so used my regular blending sponge and holding it but I like using the bottom for larger areas and you can't do that with this one.
That being side, it works well with the Maybelline Dream Velvet foundation (and my regular foundation which I also tested for comparison). As with any sponge, it lightens the coverage so you do need to build at which point I got some little lines that I don't get with my regular sponge but if you are going for a light to medium coverage, no problem!
I would recommend it if you have never tried a sponge before as the better ones are quite expensive or do not have drug store availability.

I recently got the opportunity to try Maybelline New York dream blender and I really liked the product. I found it did a good job of blending and left me with an even finish. I wasn't a huge fan of the handle but overall I found this product quite effective especially considering I was just using my fingers or a cheap sponge before. I would recommend this product.
