I received this Dream Blender from ChickAdvisor and I really liked this sponge for applying my foundation and concealer. Only thing is that you have to make sure to wet it and wring out the remaining water then apply the foundation because if you apply the foundation with the blender dry the blender will soak up all he product,
I just cant say how much i love the Maybelline New York Dream Blender. It does what it say it would such a picture perfect finish and it indeed covers rhe hard to reach areas like around the eye etc and the convenient handle is just so comfortable and makes it easier to apply my foundation.
I received this product to try for free along with the Dream Velvet Foundation. I'm very familiar with applying foundation with various beauty blenders and love them but the Dream Blender fell short for me.
It honestly felt too dense and was too small for me to get the product on my face. I found the sponge part absorbed too much foundation compared to other brand blenders by high end and cheap knock offs.
By all means, DO try the foundation but skip the Dream Blender. The foundation itself is great!
This is a great blender. It took me a try or two to get used to having a blender with a handle, but now it feels so natural. Makes your Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation go on like a breeze. You can use it wet for a fuller coverage, or use wet for a lighter coverage. Creates a very flawless, smooth finish. Perfect for all your needs! This product comes at a really great price, and I would strongly recommend everyone tries it out!
The Maybeline dream blender is much smaller than other ones I've used, but I wanted to give it a try. When using it, I really noticed how small it was, and it felt like it took forever to get my foundation all blended in. I also found it to be quite hard. Maybe I just prefer softer blending sponges. I just find the softer ones easier to use, and find them more effective. The Maybeline dream blender does do its job in blending, it just takes longer because it's so small.
I am really getting used to the Maybelline New York Dream Blender. I’ve always wanted to try a beauty blender as I heard it creates a better finish than just using your fingers. But the reason I haven’t already tried it, is because the ones from Sephora are so darn expensive. But the Maybelline New York Dream Blender is only $7.99 (CAD), so you don’t have to break the budget to give it a try. It’s worth the try. At first I was concerned that it used up too much product, but after a few days of using it, I got the hang of it. It does create a flawless, smooth finish. I love using it in the creases of my nose, between my brows and along my temples – all those spots that we sometimes overlook when just using our fingers. Plus it’s easy to wash with just a bit of soap and it fits perfectly in my lipstick stand. LOL! I’ll definitely continue using the Maybelline New York Dream Dream Blender. The price is right and it creates a great finish.
I received this product for free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club.
Thanks chickadvisor and Maybelline for letting me try this! Once I read the package twice on how to apply I thought I had it down. I had to go back an read the package a few more times to get it just right. I liked the blender. Felt nice on my face and gave a good coverage for my look. I loved the wet the brush tip for the way I like to wear my makeup as it gives a nice light look to my face. The nose part was a little tricky but doable. I would probably just buy a triangle sponge and it'd do t same thing though. The handle was easy to grip. Overall a pretty good experience.
The Dream blender I don't mine it at all it different it could be a little cheaper but I won't be but it for that price it easy that using sponge what I like about it I can sides to blend in a circular motion without getting my hand dirty of foundation .

The Blender is not as spongy as I thought it would be. It's more towards a firm and stiff kind of sponge. It doesn't create that "bounce" effect. When applying the Dream Velvet Foundation, it did a good job at blending. I used the blender under my eyes and nose and it did a great job at really getting into those areas. I wouldn't recommend this product to use all over your face - you're better off using a brush or a spongier-sponge. I would, however, recommend using it when concealing your under eyes, nose, and basically any place around the face that needs precision coverage.
Cleaning the Blender: The sponge is white, so expect it to be stained. With water and mild soap, cleaning the Blender was not a problem but because there is a handle, it's really hard to clean as I was hesitant the sponge part would fall out as I'm cleaning. Drying time took a while because the sponge it so stiff.
It was okay, I think a sponge would work fine too but it was a neat concept and I felt like I was painting my face. Takes some time to get use to it and how to work it to the best of it's ability. I found it didn't work well on the nose but that was me. It was soft and smooth. I would have to think about buying it again.
