I've never used a beauty blender before and I was amazed at how well it worked! I would purchase this again and recommend it to all of my friends!

I like the idea of the Dream Velvet blender but I wouldn’t buy it. I use my clean, washed fingers to blend foundation onto my face. I know they say grease from your fingers can clog pores, but I have been doing this my whole life and I have no skin issues. The idea of the blender is neat but having to wash it constantly so bacteria doesn’t build up seems like a hassle. It would be cool if the top was removable and you could add new “sponge” tops as replacements. I think the price point is too high on this product compared to similar products in store- Example: Quo makeup blenders with multiple sponge wedges in the package compared to this 1 blender. For me, there is no real benefit to this product.

I don't use beauty blenders all the time, but I have one that I use on occasion, so I was looking forward to trying out the Maybelline New York Dream Blender. I didn't really like it. It didn't feel like I was actually applying foundation, but just moving it around my face. The coverage was too light, and the brush felt a little small. I would rather just use my fingers.
Received this product to review from ChickAdvisor... not crazy about it. Doesn't work that well, I'd much rather use a brush or a beauty blender/sponge of some sort! The sponge is just too small and the handle on it does not make it any easier to use... I personally wouldn't recommend this! ... if you're looking for a cheaper alternative to the beauty blender, the real techniques sponge works pretty well!
The Maybelline New York Dream Blender is amazing and so easy to use. It helps apply Maybelline New York Dream Velvet Foundation flawlessly. The handle on it is super awesome it helps apply the foundation so much easier giving you complete control.

It's a good product. I have always used cheap, one-time use blenders from the dollar store. Unlike a lot of application sponges I found that the Dream Blender didn't absorb a lot of the foundation and didn't leave streaks on my skin. I would definitely buy this! The price is little high. I recommand this.
Right out of the gate I knew that I wouldn't be enjoying this, I thought though that I may be pleasantly surprised..... no... I was not.
I use a "Beauty Blender" equivalent in my daily makeup application. (the Real Techniques Sponge is a nice inexpensive dupe) I find it helps keep the finish more natural, flawless and removes excess product to help prevent caking and creasing.
I gathered that this is what the Dream Blender was meant to do.
Cons:
1) It was hard and not very malleable after being wetted... (wettened? soaked? whatever LOL)
2) It didn't grow in size as I anticipated. The larger size of the traditional "Beauty Sponge" helps distribute product evenly and helps aid in its blending. This being small, didn't cover enough real-estate on my face and left the foundation patchy.
3) Pushed around the product; not distributing it or pressing it into the skin (if that makes sense)
4) Made the job so much longer and more time consuming as you were left trying to correct the patchiness and put more product on the places it kept taking it off.
I don't have any pros for this product unfortunately.
I also found that a traditional beauty blender made the foundation counterpart much more effective.
Allowed me to apply my foundation with a lot more precision. Unlike a lot of application sponges I found that the Dream Blender didn't absorb a lot of the foundation and didn't leave streaks on my skin. Loved it!
I would like to say that I love it as I love the Maybelline Dream Velvet foundation but unfortunately no...
First I found the dream blender too small. Also, I found it not solid enough on the stick. It don't give a nice finish. I prefer a bigger beauty blender that I can hold in my hands. It's easier for application and more precise.
I'm happy I had the opportunity to try it but I don't thing I'll recommend it to my friends.
