I tried Maybelline New York Dream Blender compliments of Chickadvisor. This made reaching the contours of my face a breeze. The handle made it easy to grip and the pointy tip worked perfect to get in the creases of the nose for flawless application..
I have used cosmetic sponges in the past but nothing like the Maybelline New York Dream Blender. It is basically a tear drop shaped sponge on a stick. I found the sponge to be soft and dense. I used this blender dry as I wanted a fuller coverage with my foundation. This blender was a bit awkward to use but it did actually did a good job of blending and spreading my foundation.
I would have preferred if there wasn't a stick on this sponge as for me this would make it easier to use. I also would have liked the sponge to be a bit bigger so I could cover more surface area. I did like the tear drop shape as it contoured to the curves of my face and I could get into hard to reach areas like around the nose.
I did wash this sponge and found that I couldn't get it as clean as I would have liked to. I found myself worrying that if I scrubbed too hard that it would pop right off the handle.
Overall, this is a unique tool to keep your hands clean while applying foundation and it does a decent job of evenly spreading foundation without any streaks.
I received this product free of charge from Chick Advisor for review purposes.
The New York Dream Blender is the first make-up blending sponge I've ever tried. This ice cream cone shaped little sponge is quite effective although I'm not too crazy about it. I prefer using my fingertips over sponges, but it was nice to experiment with something I've never used before. It's nice that the blender has a little handle on it so it's much easier to hold. It smooths out the foundation evenly without leaving rough spots. I used it to contour my cheeks and face to give it some depth. I also love how soft it is. I think I would however prefer flat shaped sponges if I were to use them, instead of the pointy kind. I will continue to experiment with the Dream Blender, let's see if I can get used to it.
I was super excited to test out the dream blender when I received it in the mail but unfortunately after giving it a go, I was VERY disappointed. The sponge was so dense that it actually hurt my face. Even after wetting it, it stayed the same and did not become pliable. I did not enjoy using it at all. I tried it with my concealer and it was a little better for that, but I still wouldn't recommend this product. Such a shame! The dream foundation is amazing though! Just don't use the dream blender to apply it in my opinion!
I am so happy to have received the Maybelline New York Dream Blender free to try, thanks to ChickAdvisor's Product Review Club!! My friends this little blender is so cute and super easy to use with all those helpful instructions on the back of the box, it made putting my face on in the morning a complete breeze.
This was the easiest time I had apply foundation ever. I liked that you could use it wet or dry and prefer it wet. The applicator smoothed out lines in foundation and mixed foundation and concealers very well and you could not see a difference. I will be using this everyday and would buy again.
This is the first time I've ever tried a blender and I have to say it's not that bad lol. very easy to use although I find having the handle a bit bothersome, if it didn't have the handle it would be better

I received the Dream Blender for free through Chick Advisor.
I was to exited to try out this new product, i really wanted to like it but the sponge is too DENSE!!
It absorbs so much product and doesn't even blend the makeup.... It's too bad it doesn't worked for me :(
Thank you for the opportunity ChickAdvisor.
Size of the blender is nice and small but could have a better grip on the handle. There should be an option of buying the blender not only separately from the foundation but as a combo. Would also be nice if the blender attached to the foundation tube. Classy design and looks appealing.
I received the Maybelline New York Dream Blender as part of the Chick Advisor product review club.
I couldn't get further than half of my face with this before switching to my flat top brush. It's way too firm and the sponge seems to just absorb the foundation. It doesn't blend the makeup, it just kind of pushes it around my face. Plus, it's really not a comfortable experience using this.
I have found another use for it though. Under eye concealer. The sponge is small enough and fits perfectly to press concealer into the skin.
