I love love love this product. I have used many different foundations but all of them dried my face out until I tried this product. I find it goes on so smooth and you can evenly spread it over your face. The color match is great too. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone.
I swapped all the shades they had and none of them matched me. I am medium skin toned more on the yellow undertone side. I was kind of disappointed, but then again, it does have a nice texture. They need more shades though.
Me - I'm a 40 year old with a fair but pink complexion (thanks Rosacea, you suck). I usually use ivory because my neck is so light but my face is a bit darker thanks to freckles and the pinkies.
Packaging - Okay - the container is a pot that you continually dip your fingers into to collect and apply product. That's not too hygienic. Yes one could use a sponge or brush, but I like to pour or squirt via pump onto the top of my hand and use it as a palette to dip a finger or sponge onto.
Product - The product itself is fluffyish and thick on my fingers. Whipped they call it. Application was not easy. It dries too fast, is too thick and does not blend... Yuck. It caked and looked horrid. My pores looked giant, my fine lines looked like canyons... Plus it was orangey.
Oh no! Admittedly, now that I'm a bit er um older, I find I can't apply any foundation with my fingers anymore - a sponge is the way to go. That said, I didn't bother with this stuff again.
I like the little jar concept instead of a tube, and I like the consistency of the Mousse Foundation. Had no trouble matching for my skin tone. I use foundation every day - and I really like this one.
I am a fair skinned whitey, and have a tough time finding a foundation that doesn't make me look like an orange oompa loompa. The matte mousse covers any blemishes that you want to be hidden, and it is very light feeling on the skin. I found it easy to choose my skin tone, "Ivory light 2" and it is super easy to darken for summer when more tanned (as tanned as I can be), you just go up a number. And with the product so easy to determine your skin tone, you can buy other Maybelline powder foundation to put over the Matte Mousse Foundation.
I did not like this foundation. I loved the way it looked on my skin, in terms of coverage however the colour is far too orange for my fair skin. The lightest colour was even too dark for my summer colour. I will not repurchase this product but I would recommend it to anyone with neutral or warm skin tones if they can find their shade. This is a definite no-no for fair skin though.
I absolutely ADORE this product! The color matches very closely to my skin, and is the perfect consistency (not too thick/not too thin). It doesnt leave my skin greasy or wanting more. The only issue I have is having to retouch during the day because I live in a hot area and i find myself "melting" sometimes.
