I've been using this foundation in Ivory for the past few years, and I have got to say it's my current favourite. With my light skin tone, it was really hard finding a foundation that actually matched my shade and this is the only one that I currently find to be working. For all the girls out there with a light skin tone like mine, you might want to try this one out if it's hard to find your shade.

However, I sometimes do find it a bit on the heavy side, but it does a great job of covering the rest of the flaws in my skin after I apply concealer on. It usually keeps my face grease-free, but on hot summer days, you'll need to keep your oil-blotters handy. It doesn't look "cakey" on my face, just helps with extra coverage that is needed. It's a great staple product in your make-up bag for sure.

I really just could not get this foundation to work for me. I tried all methods of tools and application techniques but just could not get this to work. This foundation accentuated dry patches like crazy. Even on good skin I found it too cakey no matter how thin a layer I tried to put. It did a great job of filling in my pores to give the allusion of smoother skin but on dry skin it just really didn't work.
This foundation is buildable but it can get cakey very easily. I think someone with more normal skin (I have combination) might appreciate this foundation more. It does mattify your skin so those who aren't very oily may forgo powder.

try it out, you can't go wrong (:
this foundation does just as it claims to do: blend evenly and deliver pure matte perfection.
maybelline's dream matte mousse is a light, air-whipped foundation. it's texture literally feels like touching chocolate mousse.
it's light and not cakey, and best applied with your fingers (to warm it up). so, it's great for beginners or those who have no brushes, or no time. i definetely reccomend setting it, however. this isn't one of those foundations you wear on a warm day, because it will slip and slide and melt right off your face (when sweating, or if your face becomes EXTREMELY oily; i have oily skin in most areas & haven't had any problems unless in the heat).
with a primer, this foundation does literally glide on like a dream. but, it's very important that you buff it into your skin very well. this will give you a flawless finish.
i don't reccomend this foundation to people with dry skin, because it does cling to dry patches. if you have combination skin like i do, you can get away with it. if you let a moisturizer sink into your skin for about 5 minutes before you put your primer on, the dry patches aren't even noticable.
overall, i really like this foundation and for the price, you can't beat it.
    hope this helped! x

I bought this foundation for the simple reason that everyone loved it! When I was researching the product before I bought it, everyone said it was amazing, easy to apply and natural looking. This was not at all the case for me, I have dry skin, so going into this I knew that it might not work out for me, but I went into it with an open mind. This foundation looked flaky and looked as if I has 6 tons of foundation on my face, it also made my blemish's and pores look bigger. All and all, If you have dry skin, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS FOR YOU, but if you have combination to oily skin. This might work for you.

I really enjoy this product. I find it's not too heavy or too light and covers all of the imperfections I need it to cover. Would definitely recommend this to all my friends!

    THIS IS WONDERFUL!!!!
I have really oily skin and this product absorbed well. Iits easy to apply when you use an application sponge.
i love this foundation, the application is very nice and the texture is like whipped cream on your face. it blends very well and i would definatly recomend this to someone will very oily skin.
I love the matte effect and the fact there is such a diverse range in tones.

I don’t love the Dream Matte Mousse Foundation because it’s not extremely long wearing; it’s probably got 3-4 really perfect hours in it before it starts to fade. But the coverage is relatively good, and the colour match is so good that it makes my skin look flawless when I first put it on.

It’s not really mattifying, and I have pretty dry skin, so I probably wouldn’t recommend this to anyone with oily skin looking for an oil-controlling foundation because this is definitely not going to do that for you.

Another issue I’ve read about in the past is that the foundation settles into fine lines and pores. I usually use a pore minimizing serum in the morning, followed by a foundation primer, so this was never an issue for me. I’ve always found that putting foundation straight onto bare skin accentuates every gross bump I have on my skin, so I tend not to do that, no matter how time saving it is.

The pot version of the foundation is also probably not super sanitary so I try not to apply it with my fingers, which also kind of makes the foundation roll up on itself. Instead what I do is apply with a foundation brush, and pat out any streaks with my fingers or a sponge.

I have been a loyal customer to this product for almost 3 years and I adore it. Always gives me great coverage and colour without making me look like a ghost or and an orange. I have problems in the past with powders and liquids, so this is perfect because it is in between!

I've tried every foundation and I always go back to this one. The only con is that it wares off during the day but you an easily fix that. If you wear a primer under your foundation it should stay on all day. The foundation is easy to apply, has great coverage and lots of shades to match any skin tone.
