I'm really happy with the lightest shade 05 Porcelain on my neutral-pink skin. I actually prefer something that's a bit more yellow-toned, and luckily this one is right in the middle between pink and yellow. I prefer applying this foundation with a damp Beauty Blender. I don't love the little blender stick that it came with - I'd pass since it's pretty overpriced anyways. I have oily-combination skin, and I find that my dry patches do become more visible right when I apply this foundation. Luckily I only need a light layer of coverage, and overall, the finish is smooth and natural. Very smooth, actually. Because it is a bit silicone-y, I find that this foundation sits on the skin versus a regular liquid that really sticks once it is set with powder. I'd probably set this with a blotting powder about one or two hours after application for the longest wear. I have tried applying a primer beforehand, and I can't decide if it makes a difference or not. The one big plus is that this foundation doesn't oxidize or break up on my skin throughout the day. I definitely notice shine, but that adds a natural effect and can be fixed with some blotting tissues or powder. I can't believe how smooth and airbrushed my skin looks after applying Dream Velvet! Definitely a great find from the drugstore.

This foundation has a nice thick consistency that is easy to apply. It went on very smooth without a cakey look. I find that some foundations are very noticeable on my skin and make my skin look dry but not this one. It made my skin look soft and other than making my skin look better it didn't look like I was wearing foundation. I found that it lasted throughout the whole day without drying out and no creasing. I would definitely consider making this foundation a part of my regular makeup routine as it doesn't make my skin look dry like my current foundation.

I am absolutely loving this product! The coverage is perfect, not too light, not too heavy. It covers all of my imperfections without being greasy. The foundation lasted all day and was easy to remove. The price is right and love that it's available where I shop. Will recommend and buy myself!

Incredibly impressed with the quality of this product! I'm a huge fan of the matte finish, and this one didn't let me down. It's great compared to other matte foundations that I have tried, and I'm very likely going to purchase this again when my current tube runs out.

I received this, along with the Dream Blender, through the Review Product Club. While I loved the feel of the foundation, and the texture...I found the hue I chose to be too dark for my skin. I'm hoping it will wear better in the summer. Although too dark, it was very lightweight & left my skin matte. I recommend it.

Maybelline New York Dream Velvet Foundation is an innovative gel-whipped technology that offers lasting hydration & a soft-matte finish. It claims to be medium coverage but I think it could be used without concealer for full coverage. I found the perfect shade for my skin tone. The gel-whipped formula is a new experience for me but once the makeup is set it leaves a flawless finish. Plus, read my review of the Dream Blender Special Companion Product. It's a miracle foundation blending sponge that can offer lighter coverage when wet.

This make up had great coverage and blended well. I loved how it felt on my face and didn't look caked on my face looked fresh. I usually have issues with make up sticking to dry patches on my face this did not it was a great product

I struggle with finding the right foundation with the right amount of coverage and the right formula for my combination skin. I dont like to touch up foundation through out the day so this one has to last for me. I put this on before work on a morning and this stays on all day, amazing!!

the best foundation i have ever tried, usually i wear my mac foundation but this maybelline one is the best for my dry skin. it stayed on all day and didn't need to retouch with any powder! it velvet texture didn't make my face caked at all but my face looked really nice and flawless! i love it and can't wait to buy another one for my upcoming trip :).
