I don't wear makeup very often and I was kinda scared to try this stuff but it works so good, it doesn't come off your face if your brush your fingers against it and it has really good coverage, I didn't even need concealer.
I haven't always been a fan of mousse foundations but thought I would give it a try thanks to #chickadvisor! The foundation went on smooth with even coverage however I felt with my combination skin it ended up feeling like it was still wet or greased.
i received the Maybelline Dream Velvet foundation in the colour 95 COCONUT.
This line can improve by adding to more diverse colour line. i had to choose a foundation that was darker than my skin colour, but i mad it work (kinda)
in terms of feel of the product, it feels amazing! very smooth an not heavy (cakey).
i do wish there was more product. i felt like I continuously had to squeeze the product. that may be because its not a liquid that an easily cover your face.
This product does not make your face oily at all, which is a great thing.
Overall, it is great to use for oily and non oily skin. I would just suggest a more diverse line of foundation colours.
Love the foundation with the dream blender. I think if I had more Maybelline products working together it would work that much better. I would recommend this product. I will buy and use this again, thank you.
First time trying out a foundation from MNY and I was pleasantly impressed with how smooth it went on. Using the makeup blender I found the foundation did a great job of providing coverage and going on evenly. Best part that there was no "cakey" effect and didn't leave my skin feeling or looking dry. It only been a few days of usage, but feel this might be a repurchase.

It's very scary when you use it as it comes out of the tube an orange colour and I thought it would be that dark on my face, but because it's a mousse forumla it fades out well. It says it's a semi-matte finish and I would agree for the most part, not fully matte but not at all dewy either. My makeup applied beautifully on top and just felt lovely on the skin. Didn't oxidize on me throughout the day and stayed looking fresh and nice. Would highly recommend it to all!
I received this product from Chickadvisor as part as their product review club for free. I will start off with saying there isn't a lot to not like. It is perfect for building to the type of coverage you'd like. This foundation doesn't feel cakey at all, in fact when I was wearing it it didn't feel like I had any on at all. Being winter time, I was afraid of transfer to my coat of scarf but I didn't get any of that at all. I loved the matte finish it has, being oil/combination skin. I also found that I didn't need to blot a lot (maybe once) through out the day. It was very easy to apply, and applied very well. Unfortunately there is only one downside for me, a little only goes a little way. Which is a little unfortunate because for the price bracket that this product is in, it wouldn't be greatly appreciated on the wallet. I still have lots of product in the tube after a week of using so its still in the trail stage, so it might sit on the fence regarding the last statement. I do like the thicker consistency regarding that this is a mousse, makes it mess free regarding application. It is scent free, and has a good range of shades. Overall it is a really good product, it might be a repurchase depending on the life of the product but other than that it is a very good foundation.
I liked the texture of this product as I applied it - it was a creamy mousse, light application. I got medium coverage out of the product, which is exactly what I prefer.
My skin didn't dry out but this product didn't exactly hydrate my skin to the point where I could apply it without using a moisturizer first (I tested it both ways).
Compared to the foundation I currently use, I prefer how weightless this one feels - I don't feel like there is a heavy product on my face, which is great because when I wear makeup I want it to last all day without looking greasy or feeling cakey.
I received this product free with ChickAdvisor's Product Review Club. Since I received it complementary, I was given a sample which I never got to see before. That being said, the shade I received was creamy natural, which is the colour I usually buy for other foundations, and it was a bit too dark for my skin tone. It was also a bit more orange for my preference but I mixed it with another matte foundation I use so I don't end up wasting it. If I got a colour that matched my skin tone better, I might purchase this product some time in the future because as I said earlier, it feels light, has the velvety-smooth feel as advertised and it isn't too expensive.
My first impression of the foundation after application was that it left a grey cast on my face and didn't cover my dark spots. However, after finishing the rest of my makeup, I liked how I looked overall. I tried it a second time with a different applicator (not the Dream Blender) the second day, and still felt that it left a grey cast, but this time the coverage was much better. It is a medium coverage foundation. Based on its advertised benefits, it definitely is a matte/soft-matte finish. Unfortunately, if you have oily skin like I do, I find that between 4-6 hours after application, you'll notice oils seeping through. A quick touch-up tends to do the trick. The foundation doesn't seem to cling to dry patches/spots like the L'Oreal Infallible 24-hour foundation does, which is a plus. It claims to be a hydrating foundation, but when I think of hydration, I think of a luminous and healthy complexion - qualities I don't associate with this foundation. Other cons: I'm not a huge fan of the mousse-like consistency very much (much prefer liquid). In addition, a little does not go a long way. I find that I use a lot more product. It also does not look natural or skin-like - you can tell you're wearing makeup. Regardless, I think this is a good everyday foundation and I would recommend it to others.

Thank you chick advisor for sending me this product to review :) my first impression of it was I love the look of the packaging, the foundation was very thick and creamy so would definitely be more of a foundation for the fall or winter months, at first it went on a little streaky because it's so think but with a wet beauty blender it made it alot easier and blended really nice. I found you needed to use alot of product though and it's a light to medium coverage but it feels very silky smooth and light on the skin. As for the sponge it was alot firmer than I'm used to, it did not absorb water very well and I found for foundation and liquid concealer it picked up alot of product which left very little to apply, HOW EVER it worked amazing for cream/solid based concealer. It would probably be amazing for blending a cream contour aswell. All in all I will most likely repurchase the foundation.
