I received this product for free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. I received shade #90 Honey Beige which was a little darker for my skin. However, I was really impressed at how well this foundation performed. This foundation not only provides a soft-matte finish but it is also very hydrating which is perfect for this dry, cold season. My face felt soft and smooth to the touch. The gel-whipped consistency gave me a fresh, flawless look while covering up any blemishes or imperfections. It looks very natural and did not cause me to break out. I would definitely purchase this again and I strongly recommend it.

Le fond de teint est crémeux et s'étend facilement grâce à la petite éponge. Pas besoin d'en mettre beaucoup pour bien couvrir et la texture est légère si on mouille un peu l'éponge. Un maquillage à bon prix qui tient ses promesses.

I love it! I wear it everyday and i don't feel it! It's easy to apply with the special sponge! I recommand it!!! Try it and you adopt it!

I love this foundation. It left the face soft, velvety, and hydrated, just like the name suggests. However, I would say that it gives a more dewy finish, rather than matte. I am overall very impressed. It glides over the skin beautifully, and masks my pores completely, even the ones around my nose. It provides a full, buildable coverage that lasts all day long.

My first impression was yikes! It's going to be too dark, (My fault of course) and how will this ever blend.
It seemed quite thick when I tested it on the back of my hand.

But once I started to apply it to my face it blended quite nicely! Even the color toned down and ended up
working well with my skin. The coverage was there too! Medium to full coverage.

It wore well throughout the day also. Didn't make my pores obvious. Covered up the redness in my skin tone
well. It did cling to some of the dry spots on my face. But overall it has a nice smooth and flawless finish.

I find that it applies best with my beauty blender. The Maybelline blender was too small and stiff. It worked well for precision around the nose, brows and lips. However, my larger beauty blender was much more effective than the Maybelline one.

Overall, quite impressed with the Maybelline Velvet Foundation! Nice quality foundation, especially for winter months. I think I would wear something a bit lighter in the summer though. Great price point also!

I love this foundation! It goes on good, doesn't leave streaks or smudges, and makes my skin feel nice. I like this foundation better then the one i have previously been using. I would recommend this product to my family and friends.

The coverage is great. It's not an oily foundation. It has great staying power. I do find the shade is too dark for my skin tone but I am hoping that the summer tan will help. Thank you so much chick Advisor

Great foundation comparable to most high end on the market, easy to apply, stays on for endless hours and doesn't move, doesn't feel weighted down or caked on. Great price for a great brand

Awesome, awesome, awesome foundation. Goes on so smoothly like a moisturizer. Leaves my skin nicely hydrated and the skin tone is perfectly even all over. I was actually so nicely surprised how well it worked, and how long it lasted, it did manage to look good most of the day - unlike a lot of other foundations out there. Definitely recommend :)
