I never wear foundation because it always looks like a mask, and feels gross on my skin. This foundation is smooth and silky. So sheer, and blends really nicely. I wish there was a little more coverage, but no need for powder. I even put some on my hubby because I wanted him to see how silky it was. I would buy it again for sure.

Love this soft matte hydrating foundation. Trying the porcelain ivory and the color is a perfect match. Has a nice light texture and applys evenly and gives great coverage. I find it works well with combination skin, oily tzone and dry everywhere else. Doesn't seem to make my acne worse st all which is a huge bonus.

I received Maybelline New York Dream Velvet Foundation today from chickadvisor. I tried it today
I couldn't wait. It has very good coverage. It works best with the dream blender sponge. I didn't want it to go on heavy so I wet the sponge a bit prior to adding the foundation. The foundation leaves your skin feeling velvety and it has a matter finish without a chalky look. I will continue to use this for the days I want a light matte look.

I really love this product. The creamy velvety smooth consistency paired with the Maybelline dream blender made for a smooth seamless application. The foundation it self was very light and doesn't leave you feeling like there's a bunch of foundation caked on your face. I had some blemishes on my face which were still a bit visible with the foundation, so I'd still recommend using a concealer for bigger blemishes. The smooth, soft blender helped to evenly apply the foundation and was super easy to apply to my face. I would totally recommend this product to someone who was looking for something light and simple. The cost of the foundation and blender are at a reasonable price for the coverage and effectiveness that it will give you.

First off, I want to thank Chick Advisor for giving me the chance to review this product. I was dying to try it, and I'm so glad I got the chance. I absolutely love this foundation!
I received the Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation in shade #60 Sandy Beige. The shade was a tad bit too dark, but I can still make it work because it is so easily blendable, and it turns up lighter once you start blending it in. (You can see from my photo collage the swatch on my forearm, then after blended into my skin).

I consider it to be a medium coverage foundation that can be built up to be a high coverage foundation.
After applying, it feels and looks incredibly smooth.

There is no fragrance, which is great for anyone who has sensitive skin.
So far, I have used it twice and there are no signs of breaking out, which is another plus for me.
Also, I do have pretty bad acne scars and this foundation does a pretty damn good job at covering them up without any concealer whatsoever!

I did use the Dream Blender with it, and it works great. Very soft and even application.
I recommend being quick with your application. The first time I used it, I took my time and noticed streaks. The second time, though, I worked quicker and noticed no streaks at all. It does seem to dry pretty quickly.

The only negative, I think, would be the price. It is a little more on the expensive side for a Maybelline foundation. I did visit some stores to check out different prices, and Wal-Mart has it at about $14 which is cheaper than anywhere else I found. Of course, you can always wait until it goes on sale!

That being said, it is worth it in my opinion. I really enjoyed using this foundation and I will most definitely be purchasing another.

I find that this covers better and feels smoother than my high end ,$68, foundation! I am sold! The name says it all, velvet, it goes on so smooth and does not sit into my large pores...doesn't crease. I will be buying this again.
