I really love this product. The creamy velvety smooth consistency is fantastic. The foundation it self was very light and doesn't leave you feeling like there's a bunch of foundation caked on your face. I did have some blemishes on my face which were still a bit visible with the foundation, so would recommend using a concealer for bigger blemishes. My fave about the product is that it didn't dry out my skin kept it moisturized. I would recommend this product to someone who was looking for something light and simple.

I'm really happy with the lightest shade 05 Porcelain on my neutral-pink skin. I actually prefer something that's a bit more yellow-toned, and luckily this one is right in the middle between pink and yellow. I prefer applying this foundation with a damp Beauty Blender. I don't love the little blender stick that it came with - I'd pass since it's pretty overpriced anyways. I have oily-combination skin, and I find that my dry patches do become more visible right when I apply this foundation. Luckily I only need a light layer of coverage, and overall, the finish is smooth and natural. Very smooth, actually. Because it is a bit silicone-y, I find that this foundation sits on the skin versus a regular liquid that really sticks once it is set with powder. I'd probably set this with a blotting powder about one or two hours after application for the longest wear. I have tried applying a primer beforehand, and I can't decide if it makes a difference or not. The one big plus is that this foundation doesn't oxidize or break up on my skin throughout the day. I definitely notice shine, but that adds a natural effect and can be fixed with some blotting tissues or powder. I can't believe how smooth and airbrushed my skin looks after applying Dream Velvet! Definitely a great find from the drugstore.

This foundation has a nice thick consistency that is easy to apply. It went on very smooth without a cakey look. I find that some foundations are very noticeable on my skin and make my skin look dry but not this one. It made my skin look soft and other than making my skin look better it didn't look like I was wearing foundation. I found that it lasted throughout the whole day without drying out and no creasing. I would definitely consider making this foundation a part of my regular makeup routine as it doesn't make my skin look dry like my current foundation.

Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation is a great product! It has a great consistency, moisture level and applies nicely, great coverage too. I like applying with a brush then blending abit with a sponge. I got abit too orange of a color, so will save it tell summer and hope a tan on my skin will match with it. Thank you!

I am absolutely loving this product! The coverage is perfect, not too light, not too heavy. It covers all of my imperfections without being greasy. The foundation lasted all day and was easy to remove. The price is right and love that it's available where I shop. Will recommend and buy myself!

I've had the opportunity to trial Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation over the past two weeks as part of the Chickadvisor Product Review Club.

Maybelline Dream Lumi is my go-to summer foundation, and Maybelline Dream Velvet stood up well as a winter option.

I found the formula to spread evenly with no streaks. I preferred to blend with a brush over the Dream Blender. A large-pea sized dab was enough to cover my face, with another smaller bit used for extra coverage around my nose and under my eyes.

I didn't find the formula to be completely matte, but this was a positive. It was just dewy enough to not stick to any dry skin, but matte enough to not give off any shine.

I set it with powder and it lasted the day while I ran errands. It was also -37 degrees Celsius outside, so I can't say much about how it would last in a heat wave!

I still prefer Maybelline Dream Lumi for its weightlessness, but was impressed with Dream Velvet overall! I liked that it wasn't as finicky as Dream Lumi, and that it comes in a hygienic squeeze tube that allows you to get out all of the product while also ensuring it doesn't become contaminated.

Incredibly impressed with the quality of this product! I'm a huge fan of the matte finish, and this one didn't let me down. It's great compared to other matte foundations that I have tried, and I'm very likely going to purchase this again when my current tube runs out.

I received this to try and was so excited when I got it. It was actually better then expected. This is my new go to blender and foundation. It has such a smooth matte finish and never caused my skin to break out as I find I do with other products. The blender is such a great idea. It helps even out the foundation and get into the corners (like your nose). Love the way it feels on my skin!!!

I received this, along with the Dream Blender, through the Review Product Club. While I loved the feel of the foundation, and the texture...I found the hue I chose to be too dark for my skin. I'm hoping it will wear better in the summer. Although too dark, it was very lightweight & left my skin matte. I recommend it.
