I received this product for free as part of the review campaign. I don't normally wear foundation because I find it too thick or cakey so I was excited to try something that has more of a gel formula. It went on easily, with even coverage, especially with the blending brush that it came with. However the brush is a foam dome that soaks up a lot of the product so you need to use a larger quantity. It feels kind of gimmicky, a marketing ploy to get people to finish their tubes faster.

I received this product for free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. The price was quite expensive to me but I'm glad I was able to try it before making the purchase. It was smooth and soft, which made it comfortable to wear. The blendable brush helped apply it on my face and not make me look as cakey as normal foundations. I recommend you need the brush for sure when applying this type as without it,it may not look as good. I like the product but may not try it again, perhaps a different type.

This foundation just didn't meet my expectations. I found it to be slightly too thick and it just didn't lay nicely on my skin. I will say that it did a good job hiding my imperfections, but unfortunately while doing that, it looked cakey in some areas, especially areas on my face that tend to be more dry. I wouldn't run out to buy this foundation. I think there are other drugstore options in the same price category that work much better on my skin and look natural. But thank you ChickAdvisor for giving me the opportunity to try this product.

I received this product for free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. First off, I think the price is a little steep; I don't usually spend more than $10 for foundation. But beside that, it is a pretty good foundation. At first I was a little worried because it came out looking orange-y, but it blended very nicely with my skin. The finish was nice and smooth, and it didn't dry out my face. I'm not too sure about the matte finish though, because it is almost impossible to keep my forehead from getting shiny, but I paired it with powder so it was okay. I also find that it doesn't crease like some of my other foundations. Overall, it is a very good and light foundation, that it a little pricey but gives you a smooth, soft finish.

I was generously provided by Maybelline and ChickAdvisor with the opportunity to try this product. I tried it as soon as it arrived, as I am always on the search for a better foundation. But alas, finding a good foundation, is like finding a good pair of jeans...it is not easy. I think the bottle is quite small for the cost of the product, but overall it does work quite well. The coverage was slightly off for me, but the product did spread very well and offered fairly even coverage. It is important to note that I found that it only worked well with the blender that I was also provided with by ChickAdvisor. If you try to use this product with your average sponge, or foundation brush you may run into some issues with caking. Overall I would give this product a 7/10.

I received Maybelline New York Dream Velvet Foundation for free from Chickadvisor. For the price, I find the bottle very small. I like the look of the bottle which looks like velvet. I found the coverage worked very well. it hid my flaws and still looked natural. I had to put enough on so the bottle may not last well. The texture is different from what I'm used too but I don't mind it.

I received this product in exchange for an honest review. I will start out by saying that the shade I received is slightly too dark for me right now so I have been using it as a contour. However, as a foundation it has medium coverage but I find it looks a bit cakey if you try to build it up. Not a bad foundation for the price but also not the best.

Love, love, love! Have to say I was stuck on my usual foundation for yrs, but this one is great. Color was perfect match and great coverage! Blends evenly and doesn't feel heavy

I really like this foundation, its gives me medium coverage, I have to hydrate first though or else it cakes between my eyebrows. I used it with the aplicator it came with and I really dont like it, it sheers out the foundation. Its my new favorite drugstore foundation!

I really enjoyed the Maybelline New York Dream Velvet Foundation! It went on really nicely and I could build it up where I needed it more without it looking caked on. It definitely is a matte foundation. I saw the biggest shine reduction on my nose. It also had great staying power, stayed on all day. I'm impressed. Plus, a little bit goes a long way.
