I got this foundation as part of the Chickadvisor Product Review Club. I love the coverage that it gives and it works nicely on my dry skin. I like that the texture is matte but not drying.

I got this in my fake tan shade from this campaign, but have also bought it now in a lighter shade to use on my natural pale skin (and for once the lightest shade isn't pink toned but yellow which matches me much better), I like it that much.

The blending sponge that came with this too is poor on the other hand. I think Maybelline was going for a take on the beauty blender sponge but they got it all wrong, this is hard and doesn't expand when you wet it. I wouldn't recommend the sponge, but the foundation is fab.

Im such a converter after trying the Maybelline New York Dream Velvet foundation i cant believe how good of a coverage i got,it was like it said matte and my oily skin didnt come through and the shade of colour was just perfect!

I've tried lots of foundations in high to low end. I have skin that can be flaky but oily at the same time. I had no breakouts with this product at all. It didn't leave me like an oil slick nor did it oxidize or start to "melt" off my face after a few hours.

It stayed put all day and while there was some shine at the end, I think that's forgivable. Even without a primer it stayed put and covered my large pores. I find it to be a light foundation that helps even out my red blotches I have along my cheeks and nose. It also didn't highlight the areas that can be flaky on me. I'm very picky and quite impressed.

I definitely recommend trying this product. I did apply it with the Dream Blender but prefered to use a differnt beauty blender to apply it the best.

When i got it i was expecting it to be as it was advertised, as a matte foundation, but NOPE!! it is definitely more dewy than matte, don't think it would work well with oily skin!! I did find it hydrating though!! I still love my Maybelline fit me foundation but this is not bad!! I don't think i would purchase it myself though!!

I recently tried maybelline New York dream velvet foundation and I was very surprised at how smooth and velvety my skin looked. I normally only use powder foundation because I find liquid foundation leaves my face to cakey looking, but not this product. I was also very happy about the way it matched my skin tone. I would recommend this product for anyone looking for a light and natural looking foundation.

This is an excellent medium coverage foundation! Skin looks very natural with it on, and it lasted all day. It blends very well into skin. I would definitely recommend this foundation to others!

Truly loved this product now use to using g a liquid but I loved it matched my tone covered very well even came with little sponge which I liked but would have liked a bigger one I can't wait 5o use this in the summer as it was a truly light and non greasy was really easy to apply

Wow this products is just so great. My skin looks so great an healty they is no residues it last all day. Ally friends whant one. It is really a product i reccomed an good price for the quality.

Maybeline dream velvet foundation goes on super smooth, and gives my skin a flawless finish. I have large pores, and this foundation fills them well (though not perfect, I didn't expect it to). The colour matched my skin very well. After the foundation is applied, my skin feels super soft and touchable, which I don't get with a lot of different foundations. I have some acne scars, and this foundation covers them well. I will definitely use this foundation again.

The Maybelline New York Dream Velvet Foundation application is pretty easy and it blends well into the skin. As advertised, the initial finish is matte on my skin. But after a few hours of having it on, I noticed a bit of sheen on my face. This is the part that concerns me. I want a “glow,” yes. But I am not sure I need a “sheen.” My skin is oily enough without having an extra shine to it. But like I said, the application is pretty nice. I like the fact that it’s more of a mousse than a liquid so it’s great to use with the blender. I think I will try this product again, but I’m going to try it in a different shade to see if that was the cause of it looking weird on me after wearing it for a couple hours. I tested Natural Beige – but I think this product is worth purchasing so I’ll buy it in Caramel to see if it’s a better fit.
