Amazing coverage for such a small amount that is needed. My face is usually sensitive to new products, but this one didn't cause me to break out at all. Highly recommended. The cost is a bit much for such a small container, but totally worth it.

Honestly I never would have thought to buy this as I really dig my Cover FX ( which is a lot more expensive too ... ouch! ) BUT this stuff is SO lovely. I would say its a medium coverage which is perfect.. it gives you a really even skintone and pretty good spot coverage.. for me the BIGGEST thing was that its literally the same colour as my skin which I have NEVER found.. Always too light or dark and ALWAYS too pink! Yay! I will likely buy this one when its out. Sponge is nice too, just make sure you wash it. ;)

I should start by saying that I'm not a big fan of liquid foundation as I always feel like I'm obviously wearing it. I tried the new Maybelline New York Dream Velvet Foundation for free and was very pleasantly surprised. It blended very easily and matched my skin perfectly. Plus when I put it on I didn't feel anything! I even had a friend comment on how nice my skin looked to first time I wore it. I'd definitely recommend and try again.

The shade I selected which worked very well for me was 05-Warm Porcelain. I combined it with the use of the new Maybelline New York Dream Blender (Foundation). A little went a long way. The coverage was pretty good though I still had to use concealer on some trouble spots. I didn't wet the sponge so the coverage was probably a bit more dense than if I had.

It felt great on my skin...very light, like I wasn't wearing anything. I was impressed with it and may invest in another tube once my sample is gone. Personally , I feel that the price is a bit steep but depending on how long it last maybe worth it in the long run...

I certainly would recommend this product for individuals who have combination skin as it covered the dry areas fairly well and remained matte in my oily zones without looking like I had a ton of makeup on.

Came across as very natural.

I received this to try last week and used it both nights this weekend before I went out with friends. It was easy and smooth to apply and it wore very well throughout the night - after eating, bowling and just being out for a few hours.
My skin has been a touch dry the last few weeks because of the weather so it did stick a bit to my dry patches because it is a matte finish, but in a few weeks when my skin is back to it's normal state, I will return to this makeup and likely buy it again in the future.

Thank you Chick Advisor for the opportunity to try the Velvet Foundation. it is just a great product that I really enjoy to test :-) it is a great quality producf and it gives you a beautiful skin. It is easy to apply, it last all day and it is really easy to remove on the evening.

At first, I was intrigued because this foundation is supposed to be moisturizing and matte. And for my part, I was very happy, because this foundation fulfilled its promises. Plus, It holds well all day, and the coverage is perfect!

Personally, I first put this foundation on the back of my hand. Then I covered my face by parts with the help of the Dream blender. This, is in my opinion, the best way to have an excellent application. Some days, for a more natural application, I also wet my blender.

The price of this product is very reasonable, so I certainly recommend it to all my friends.

I love the foundation! It goes on really smooth and blends into my skin really well. I loved the flawless look I achieved from using this! I am so happy I got to test this product from chickadvisor. It doesn't leave a cakey look at all like some liquid foundations. This is my new foundation!

It's light formula, easy to apply but i need more coverage. I have a dark spot under my eyes because insufficient sleep. But I recommend for the others less tired than me.

I received this product for free to review for the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. I was pleasantly surprised by the coverage of this foundation as it covered up my blemishes beautifully. The foundation did have a matte finish, however, I found it to be a little drying even though it is advertised to have lasting hydration (the product clung on to the dry patches on my skin). Surprisingly enough, what I really liked about this foundation is the colour. I have a medium skin tone (NC 30-35) and I usually have a really hard time finding a foundation that fits me (especially in drugstores). The colour I received is 60 Sandy Beige and it has just the right amount of yellow in it for my skin tone. I will definitely purchase this foundation again because the colour is perfect for me, but I will be mixing it with one of my other foundations so that I get the right texture (where it's not too matte and drying). I would recommend this to anyone who wants a matte finish and does not have overly dry skin.
