I received the Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation from Chickadvisor to test and review and I've been using it for the past couple days. i love that it goes on smooth and feels like you're not wearing anything which is a huge bonus for me with any foundation. However, I found that it settled into my creases a little and was tough to smooth out. I had to apply a little less than usual just so it didn't look cakey in some places. It looked much better once I had applied my powder over top. I'll have to keep experimenting with it and see if I can get better coverage. Love the way it feels on, so I'd love to make it work!

I received this product to review through Chick Advisor. I have been using as my only foundation for this past week. I have to say I am not impressed at all with this foundation. I was really looking forward to trying it out, as I have seen positive reviews both on this site, and as well as youtube. It just wasn't for me. It settled into my lines, and was really hard to blend out on my skin. I would not recommend this foundation to someone with drier skin, which I don't consider myself to have. I am more on the oilier side, but this foundation made my skin patchy looking and flakey.

In short, I think if you have VERY oily skin, this foundation might work for you, but honestly I would more likely recommend the Fit Me matte and poreless foundation range from Maybelline instead.

I am in love wit this foundation! It's soft and easy to apply and I love the coverage!

IN LOVE!! This is a great all over foundation, and can provide either a light coverage, or can be used to heavier depending on the amazing new tool- The Dream Blender!!
I have seen other brands have a similar egg shaped sponge, however I prefer this one, because of the handle, which creates more leverage, and ability to blend as necessary. The sponge is super soft, and can be placed with water beforehand for a more sheer coverage, or on its own for a heavier coverage.
As for the actual Dream Velvet Foundation, it does a good job of making your skin feel very soft and smooth, great for people who use a primer beforehand, you can absolutely skip this step, as the feel the skin gets is very comparable.
Price is $16.99 which is a bit pricey for the tube size, but the Dream Blender is a steal at $7.99.

Au 1er essai, je l'ai appliqué avec l'éponge, et je n'ai pas aimé l'effet. Couvrance inégale, peau asséchée. Au 2e essai, je l'ai appliqué avec les doigts. J'ai apprécié le fait qu'il n'ait pas d'odeur. Par contre, je n'ai pas aimé la texture trop crémeuse, le fait qu'il était lourd. Le démaquillage s'est fait facilement

J'ai adoré ce fond de teint. L'éponge nettement moins par contre.
Concernant le fond de teint :
la couvrance est très bonne, il y a un bon choix de couleur qui permet à toute de trouver la couleur qui lui convient. le fond de teint en lui même est mat mais lumineux pour un effet naturel et bonne mine. Il est facile d'application et agréable à porter. Il rivalise très bien avec des fond de teint plus onéreux.
Concernant l'éponge, je la trouve beaucoup trop ferme et pas agréable à utiliser. Il vaut mieux utiliser un beauty blender, l'éponge real techniques ou encore celle de H&M;le travail sera mieux fait de façon plus agréable et plus rapide.

I like that this fondation has a good coverage but looks "natural" and not like "ok, you got fondation I could see that a mile away"
It's supposed to be "matte" but it seems to me it is matte but glowy (not greasy! just beautifully glowy)
For me it's a good fondation (as good as the most pricy ones) and for a good price.
I definitely recommend it.

It's a pretty good foundation. The consistancy is really amazing, so smooth and velvety.
The covarage is medium I would say. Blends very great and I would use it on a daily basis.
I would probably buy it again if on sale otherwise there are a few drugstore foundations which I prefer.
