Uhmmm

I first tried these quite a few years ago now, and the formula is still terrible. I am not saying they changed the formula, I do not know if they did or not, but sometimes I re-visit a product and like it. That is not the case with this.

La marque maybelline est une bonne marque de pharmacie pour le maquillage. Mais j'achète rarement des ombres à paupières en pharmacie à cause de la faible qualité. J'ai acheté ce produit car je trouvais les couleurs jolies mais malheureusement ce n'est pas pour moi, le problème c'est que j'ai pris 6 ptites palette😑😒 La pigmentation s'atténue rapidement et le fard se retrouve dans mon creux de paupière en mi-journée. Même si j'avais utilisé une base pour paupières. Mmm Je ne recommande pas vraiment ..

I love the colours however the colours don't seem to stay long even with eye primer, it's okay for drugstore eyeshadow I would be upset if it cost more but for the price it's okay.

I have this in gold and its great. Really good stating power. Creamy. Smooth. Its grea . Plan to pick it up in other colors

These look really nice when you first put them on. Very sparkly! But I've tried this with every primer that I have: TFSS, Paintpots, Mary Kay Eyesicles and nothing makes these shadows stay. I put this on in the evening to see if it woule wear for 3-4hours at least and by the time I got home, the color had fallen off, leaving only sparkles. Very disappointed with this product and will be returning this!

I love the colours and I don't use any other eyeshadow. I use the Taupe Temptress most often.
My complaint however is that it seems to wear off after only a few hours, (no kidding). I keep buying it however since I have not found a similar pallette that I like so much. You can really play around with your look. If you use this, use a primer underneath for staying power.

First of all, there are no such thing as 'silk pigments', unless Maybelline is talking about pigments which are used to dye silk clothing, which would be poisonous. So that's just a bit of marketing BS.

However, these were a lot better than I expected them to be. The palette I liked most when testing them was Green With Envy. I beliebe that was the name, anyways. Really gorgeous pigmented colors, they grab the skin well and stay put, are very soft, but not so soft that they come off with a mere swipe.

Did not buy them that day as I had already dropped over $60 on a Smashbox palette, but will pick some of these up eventually. Most likely when they are on sale and when I have coupons :-) Each shadow is not very big, so the price they are asking for them is a tad over the top.

I have this in Mad for Mauve and Legendary Lilac. They are all beautiful colors but I was disappointed with the staying power of this product. It only lasted for three hours, if that. By the time I looked at my lids a few hours later there was no color left! I didn't apply an eye primer so I'm sure that would have helped but I feel like it's still of poor quality. I had to layer on quite a bit to achieve noticeable color. After doing so, the colors are nice but there are other eyeshadows in the same price range that are better.

I recently bought the Maybelline New York Eyestudio Quad in "90 Irresistably Ivy" and I'm not 100% sure that I will buy another one of these, but I couldn't say I've not thought about it. I wish there was an "undecided" button.

This particular quad has a ... cream/beige colour for the bigger one, and then a copper, a teal and a chocolate brown. My biggest peeve with this palette is that all the colours are shimmery. I'm not a big fan of that, however, the colours are gorgeous and so I caved and had to try one.

The sponge applicator it comes with is useless to me, as I use my own brushes, but it is double ended and therefore has a side for each colour, should you choose to use it that way. The diagram on the back is EXTREMELY unhelpful. Like honestly useless. My understanding is that the cream colour goes all over... the chocolate colour goes along the lash line and the teal goes in the crease. What I did; the copper all over the lid, the teal in the crease and outer v, the chocolate along the upper and lower lash line and the cream as an inner corner and brow bone highlight/ used to blend all the harsh edges. If you're able to use your imagination, it's a good product.

Be forewarned, these colours are /really/ pigmented, and it's annoying to start over once you've screwed up. My suggestion is to use little bits and build the colour instead. The packaging is still cute and the colour combinations are good. They're marketing campaign really drove me to grabbing one though, and I think I'll pick up at least one more before I make my final decision on this particular line of eye shadows.

I recieved Give Me Gold and Purple Icon. I love purple, so I was pretty psyched about it. I don't use expensive make up like MAC and the like, I buy all my stuff at Rexall :D That said, the make itself was quite good and sturdy (subject to my testing!) and the colours applied better and more comfortably than other pharmacy brands. It doesn't last too too long, but neither do most other pharmacy brands.

Things I'd have liked: a mirror, instructions on where to put each shade (this is clearly for beginners, as all the experienced make up users have already seemingly thrown theirs out), and more colour choice.

Beyond that, it's nice, and I love Maybelline, but I'll probably stick to their other products.
