I used to wear a regular liquid liner, until a friend introduced me to the gel eyeliner. I was instantly addicted! I find that it provides a long lasting wear (whether it's daytime, or evening) and it also looks great. It applies well, and it's very affordable. I'd definitely recommend this eyeliner to anyone looking for a great new product.
One of my friends had the MAC version of this and I tried it and loved it. But I didn't want to spend that much so I tried this and loved it. Goes on very smooth and unless your lids are very oily it stays on great the entire day. I wouldn't recommend wearing it on a rainy day. I'm wearing it in the picture below. Love it.
I m not a makeup expert in any way shape or form, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff, I find its easy to apply long lasting and idiot proof :) I love the look of intense eyeliner and this stuff makes it easy to achieve without worrying about my unsteady hand with liquid liner, whether I am applying a daytime look or a dramatic nightime look.
I am obsessed with this stuff! I wear eyeliner every single day, and with both work and school I almost never have time for touch-ups. With this, I don't have to! It lasts all day but is easy enough to take off at night. One tub of this stuff lasts me almost 4 months, I can not live without my gel eyeliner!
I purchased the gel eyeliner in Blackest Black after I bought the liner in Charcoal. The liner pigmented and gives a great colour. Moreover, I like that it does not smudge off, or fade from the lids. It has excellent staying power.
I use Blackest Black for an evening look, and Charcoal in the daytime. One difference I noticed is that Charcoal is more creamy in texture, while Blackest Black tends to be dry. The formula for Blackest Black quickly dried out in its jar, and cracked. I had to revive it back to life by soaking the jar in a bowl of hot water. Also, the Blackest Black gel is a bit more difficult to take off with make-up remover. It is not uncommon for me to be rubbing off flecks of liner from the base of my eyelashes a day after wearing this liner.
I've been hesitant to try any kind of liner on my lid due to a bad experience in high school, but this liner has turned my mind right around. Its consistancy and staying power is very comparable to that of bobby brown's gel liners, and is available for just a fraction of the cost. The packaging is very similar to high end gel liners as well, and it also includes an applicator brush. When it comes to what brush to use for a gel liner it really depends on what you prefer, but whatever your preferences may be, this brush gets the job done.
This liner is definatly smudge proof, and won't go anywhere until you want it off. It removes very easily with makeup remover wipes, however I haven't tried taking it off with water alone, so I can't comment about that.
Overall, I would recomend this to anyone looking for a low cost gel liner, or anyone who struggles with liquid liners as a practice type product.
What I love about this is that the staying power and quality is comparable to MAC's fluidline. Doesn't smudge and is very smooth to apply. Sometimes, my eyelids tend to get oily but it never smudged, unlike pencil and liquid liners. I've had mine for quite some time now and I still haven't used half of it. Although it tends to harden a bit over time, but I guess that naturally happens. Would definitely recommend this.
I honestly don't know what I'd do without this eyeliner. It is one of the best gel liners I have ever used and is easily comparable to more expensive brands such as MAC. It goes on easy and has incredible lasting power. Some eyeliners bug my eyes, especially because I wear contacts for long periods of time - but I am yet to have a problem with this product. From my experience it also lasts a very long time, I've had the same pot for several months now and am not close to finishing it. Of course to me the best thing about this is the price, can't go wrong there.
I've used pencil eyeliners and by the end of the day, the eyeliner starts to disappear because I guess I have oily eyelids? I've also tried liquid eyeliner and the same thing happens to me..however when I first used maybelline eye studio lasting drama gel eyeliner, I was surprised. It goes on so smoothly and it works so well. Also it was the first ever eyeliner that didn't disappear by the end of the day. All in all, it was definitely worth buying!
