Very black, it lengthens my lashes and doesn't clump. For 3 dollars at Walmart its a bang for your buck.

I bought the Maybelline Mega Plush Volum Express. You have to have a decent mascara. I found this one to be a good choice. The mascara goes on smooth with no clumping. It adds length to my short lashes. I really like this mascara and with a cleanser, all mascara is removed.
