I bought this as it was new, and it claimed to be waterproof. Wasn't holding out much hope, as other products I've tried did not perform as claimed. Well...I can't say enough about this mascara!! Waterproof, volumizes, holds curl, great wand that lengthens and seperates lashes....I could go on....but urge anyone looking for an all around magnificent mascara to buy this one!!!

This mascara really does what it says, I have way more volume with my lashes, it doesn't smudge. I have tried both the waterproof and regular and wore them for a total of 12 hrs/day without having to touch ups under my eyes or put more on. It doesn't flake. I have received numerous compliments about my eyes since switching to Maybelline Lash Essential.

When I found this at Walmart for $5, I had to buy it! When I first tried it, the brush seemed a bit weird, like 2 different bristle lengths. I was a bit confused at first when I wore it like I didn't know which way to apply the brush, but I guess you apply it with the longer bristles. It was a bit clumpy when I wore it, so when I went to even it out, too much of the product went on my lashes and made them extra long. But I guess I am satisfied with the product and my lashes looked volumized and lengthened.
