I have to admit, I didn't think I was going to like this mascara, because I am not one for lengthening mascaras (I prefer volumizing) but I actually really liked it. It makes my lashes very long, and the best part is that is holds curl marvellously. I had some struggles trying to apply it at first, because I am not used to the thin, hard, comb like wand (as I said, I usually use volumizing formulas, and thus am used to thick fibre rich brushes) but I got used to it. It separates the lashes, and it's really hard to make it clump. With a couple of coats I have long dark lashes. As other have noted, it does not volumize at all, but you can't fault it for that because it doesn't claim to be. I think that for the most part, it lives up to its claims, minus the black patent shine. I didn't think my lashes were particularly shiny, but who wants that anyway? Let's not go overboard with the whole stiletto theme now people. I don't want my lashes looking wet!!

Overall, a great lengthening mascara that I would buy again.

i seen the commercial to this product and it bought me. i immediately said "I GOTTA HAVE THAT." So the next morning i went out and bought it. When i first tried it i was not pleased what so ever. it just wasnt what the commercial explained it would be. So i went back to my previous mascara. after a few days i decided to give it another shot. After all i already bought it, it would be a waste to not use it and plus the tube is really cute. So i tried it and this time I loved it. It did make my lashes seem a LOT longer. It did not clump and it doesnt make your lashes stiff like other mascaras when it dries. I definitely would recommend this product i just wish maybeline would hurry up and make a waterproof one.

Though I didn't notice the 'black patent shine' that this product claims to provide, I absolutely 100% got the stiletto effect. Each lash was perfectly separated from the rest and my lashes looked really long (although, my eyelashes are long to begin with, so that effect wasn't hard to come by).

I don't particularly like this type of look for my lashes unless I'm going for the 'au natural' look and all I'm planning on wearing that day is mascara (and clothes!). Since l already have the length, I tend to go for products that provide more 'volume' or thickness to my lashes. If you're one of the few very lucky woman that has a great set of thick lashes, I think that this product would be perfect for you.

I recieved the Lash Stiletto in the mail from the product review club. My first impression of the product wasnt that great, as when i pulled out the wand, eager to try it, the wand broke inside the tube. Maybeline was nice enought to send me another tube. But even after trying the new mascara, i dont think i would change to it from the one i am using right now. I have really long eye lashes and they are pretty thick i guess. I like my lashes to be super black and the colour in the stiletto wasnt exactly what i wanted. I also found that the wand was a little akward to use. i just generally dont like small tiped wands becuase of my eyes. I still use it from time to time for a day to day wear but i wouldnt use it for going out at night.

Love it Love it Love it !!!!! Dries fast, and has a glossy shine...washes off easily, and does not leave those racoon eyes if you oops, and sleep in it.!

I had high hopes for this mascara, but it didn't turn out the way I thought it would've. This mascara is good for not smudging and very easy to wash off. It also lengthens and keeps up those curls. But on the down side, the handle is annoying to hold and It makes my lashes look very thin and the tips not so flattering. I agree, they look spidery. The way it looks reminds me of ezma from The Emperor's New Groove.

I have to agree with some of the over reviewers when I say that this mascara lacks volume. The length I definitely got; it stretched out my eye lashes a far bit. But as a result, it gave me those long, dreaded "spider lashes".

The packaging is definitely really cute and small (takes up far less space than my Covergirl LashBlast!) But the product inside the bottle is really what counts. This one didn't do it for me.

If you are someone who desires to "neatly" lengthen your very own eyelashes, then this is the mascara for you. It applies very neatly with a very thin wand. There aren't any glops on your eyelashes, which is the good part. Eyelashes are separated very cleanly. It lasts all day without having to reapply. Additionally, it washes off easily at night with either soap and water or use the eye makeup remover from maybelline.

The price is well worth it because it does exactly what it says it will do and it lasts. Some say the smell is overwhelming, but after a while, you won't smell it anymore unless you are trying to and that's your emo.

Considering that this is a clean look mascara that lengthens beautifully, If you want something more dramatic or for when you go out at night, you can use this along with the colassal lash by maybeline. You will have the lengthening from this and the volume from Colassal lash all in one. It's a great combination together for that purpose!

I was skeptical about this product. When applied correctly, brushing the tops and bottoms of the eyelashes, it does give the appearance of long, full and shiny eyelashes. You can apply as many coats as desirable and it continues to thicken, lengthen and shine your lashes with each application. It's a bit harder to remove than normal mascara.

I tried this after reading some of the reviews here. It's a decent mascara that delivers a good amount of length. I'd like it better if they did something about the scent but it doesn't prevent me from using it.
