I purchased one of these mascaras the day they came in at work, because it was our item of the month.
Normally, I'm not a huge fan of Maybelline, but loved their last mascara and thought id try this one.

When I first opened the tube, I was delighted by the scent. It smells almost like a freshly watered garden, and the brush makes it very easy to apply. I didnt find it much different from the other Maybelline formulas though, apart from the cute packaging and nice scent.

Overall, this is a nice, budget friendly mascara to use for incredibly long lashes. It did well at seperating and lengthening, but I wouldnt reccomend this to a lady looking for more volume. So far, this has been a popular item with the ladies at work and It doesnt smudge easily, but it could be longer wearing .


I think colossal lash is still their best mascara. :)

This product is awesome because it's a light mascara that separates your lashes without the thick clumps.

I also recieved this product as part of the Product Review Club and I was quite impressed! I was one of the few reviewers who *didn't* notice the shape of the tube resembling a stiletto heel; I suppose it makes sense now that I look at the tube more closely but I'd just thought it was a sleek tube with a somewhat understated design at first. Anyways, I digress.

What I love about this product is that the formula is not terribly thick, which makes it a really great choice for daytime wear. The brush is completely unlike most brushes in the trendier current mascaras, and goes for more of a slimmer look a la Great Lash (and who DIDN'T love Maybelline Great Lash?) but with more of a spikey wand to catch lashes rather than the Great Lash-style neat spiral of bristles. The formula is SUPER easy to apply, and lasts reasonably well. If mascara is a vital part of your day-to-night look, this is a good pick for work or school but rather than re-apply in the evening you might need a bolder formula. (This is one thing in life you'll wish was a little more fattening.)

Voluminous though it may not be, lengthening it is. I have medium-length lashes and this formula does have the attractive facet of making them look prettily elongated. The mascara smell was also strong with my tube, but it fades quickly and it doesn't bother me. Overall, I'd say this puppy gives you a look that's very girly, but not so much sex-kittenish. Then again, it all depends on the girl wearing it. Meow, y'all.

This is a great product for people with lots of lashes who want stand out length. Definitely great at adding length but not good for my sparse lashes. I had to apply many coats & still only gained length. Will recommend for friends but not for self.

I was to receive this mascara from the product review club, but our postal service hates me, and lost the package, but no worries, I have the review!

So I thought the packaging was nice, but maybe they put a little too much into the packaging and the branding of stiletto and making the mascara look like a peg of a stiletto high heel. Either way this doesn't affect the product itself.

The smell was kind of weird, but not weird enough that I wouldn't purchase it again. Although it is the most smelly of all my mascaras...(and I buy new ones ALL the time).

The best thing about this mascara is that it actually did what it said it will, which is to LENGHTHEN your lashes. So I was very happy with the lenght, but I prefer a thicker, more volume look. SO based off that, I will continue to wear this mascara on lazy days and when I just need a little pick me up, rather than on the nights were Im out on the town with my girls.

Overall, not bad, good lenthening, weird smell, but will work fine for a natural, regular day look. :)

I really liked this mascara because it did separate my lashes well and provided a natural look! I was worried that it would make my lashes look too long and fake, but it did provide volume for me while still providing a natural look. I have already recommended it to some of my friends!

I was so excited to finally get to buy the Stiletto mascara in Very Black. I bought it at Shopper's Drug Mart, for $9.99. I personally love it a lot, it's my favorite mascara so far. I would recomment it :)

This mascara made my lashes a little bit longer but didn't do anything in terms of volume. Since that isn't the selling point of the mascara I think it did what it was supposed to but not what I'm really looking for in a mascara. I'll stick to my diorshow thanks.

I am glad to have the chance to demo this product before purchase, as it doesn't quite do the trick for me.
The Stileto has great packaging and a nice cool look but as far as the product goes...its just average. I liked that it wasn't too clumpy after a few coats on my lashes, but they didn't seem too long or thick. Also this is not waterproof and easily wahses off with water and soap etc. I would never wear this to a sad movie or to the beach! It probably has more appeal for someone desiring a nataural look without much thickening or lengthening to the lashes. Average!
