I was forever using pencils to apply as my eyeliner. They would break, not sharpen right. This line stiletto eyeliner is fantastic. Goes on so easily with no waste, hassle or time. This product is a keeper.
This is definitely my go-to eyeliner. I use it everyday, or at least any day that I am wearing make up. It is not waterproof which it a plus for me, especially when trying to remove it. That doesn't mean that it doesn't last. I can apply it early in the morning and it will last me the entire day without having to reapply. The applicator is somewhat of a stiff yet flexible sponge shaped into a point which makes it super easy to follow the curves of your eyelid and then do whatever style of 'wing' you want at the outside corner of your eye. The liquid itself seems to be the perfect consistency; not too watery, and not too sticky, clumpy, or goopy. Also, the colour is so bold, not saturated at all, so one swipe does the job perfectly. The price is a little more than I would like to pay for a small tube of liquid liner, so I just stock up whenever I see it on sale. ;)
Short answer? Meh. I went looking for a new black liquid eyeliner that would be an improvement over my e.l.f. liquid liner, intensity-wise. I'd seen this particular one before from Maybelline and decided to give it a try. Really not impressed with it. The color seems to go on nice and bold at first, but it rubs off really easily if the brush isn't fully loaded with liner before each application. And since the applicator doesn't hold much to begin with, you're going to find that you have to dip and shake the bottle each time you want to put the brush to your face.
In addition, it doesn't stay on worth a crap. I used this product with eyelid primer and setting mist and it still faded/smudged off within a few hours. Even just after it dries, it loses some of its bold, black luster. The brush is kind of long, thin and tapered, and it would work well for doing the cat-eye look without tape or Q-tips if you didn't have to reload the brush before every stroke.
Overall, I didn't care for this product and I would not buy it again. My $2 liquid e.l.f. black eyeliner stays on most of the day and doesn't flake off, even if it's not as intense. Wet 'N Wild's H2O Proof liquid liner is better than this one too and the applicator holds considerably more pigment. The box for this stuff appears all tempting and sexy, but for all its alleged "ultimate precision," it lacks in quality.
I like how thin the tip is, but I find that the liner dries closer to a shiny gray than a matte black (which I prefer).
i hate an eyeliner that doesnt do a fine line on my lower eye lid, i dont like the look of deep thick lines on my under eye lids. this is so thin that it is barely noticeable that i am even wearing any on the bottom. i use a different brand for a thicker line on my top lid, but if you want just a thin line this is definately the one to use.
This eyeliner went on smoothly and stayed on all DAY! I also did not need to use a lot for it to show
