This makeup is perfect for oily, acne prone skin! for years I had to choose between caking on two layers of makeup or letting my imperfections show, now I only use this because it is soft, light, long lasting, scent free, and is incredibly gentle on my sensitive skin.

I was looking for a face powder that would cover blemishes really well so that I wouldn't always have to layer on both foundation and powder. As soon as I tried it, it erased any blemishes or spots on my face and made my skin look absolutely clear. I haven't always been the type to wear powder on my face all the time for fear of it looking cakey and dry, but this powder felt and looked light but at the same time covered everything. It gave a natural matte finish and didn't lave your face looking oily throughout the day. I would highlyyy recommend this powder if you want a matte finish and full coverage. It's about $35 but worth itt.

I got this for around 6 bucks, I belive, at CVS. My skin was looking really bad and I was breaking out. I decided to do soemthing good for my skin so I purchased the Mineral Power pressed powder in Medium. The strange thing about this powder is that it is only available in 3 shades- Light, Medium, and Dark, and in only 1 bronzer shade. I found this odd, but I purchased Medium for my medium-light skin because summer is coming up. I have to say the Maybelline compacts are so much more convenient than other brands. You just swing it open and have access to the mirror and the powder at the same time! The applicator is a little sponge (that's good, it's better than a puff because sponges are washable). I dusted this on when I was sans foundation because I just needed to run out to the store but didn't want to go out with completely bare skin. I was actually pleasantly surprised with this. Unlike most pwoders which accentuate my pores, this hid them and even helped tone down my dark circles. The powder looked just a little too yellow in the sunlight (reason for 4 stars), but my skin looked glowing and radiant. This powder doesn't make your skin look matte, it just makes it look glowing and healthy. As for oil control, this doesn't do any better than all the other pwoders I've tried, but that's just my oily skin. I'm sure for others with less oily skin they wouldn't even need to do touch-ups for this one. Overall, this is a good, affordable powder that evens out skin tone and covers minor imperfections while giving skin a healthy and natural glow. Try it, you won't be disapointed!

When it first arrived, I wasn't sure about an item called a "veil" but it really is amazing! I used it with the foundation and the blush and I found that it really set well, looked natural and I didn't have the mid-day shine I often get on my nose!

I actually got rid of my other powder and it is now my powder of choice!

I've never used a finishing veil before and was unsure about its effectiveness. I love the packaging! However, the sponge applied the product too heavily for me as well so I use my blush brush to sweep on a thin layer. I didn't see much difference before and after the finishing powder, but maybe I am not using enough, but I don't like too many layers of stuff on my face. I use it to set my foundation and blush and it seems to keep everything in place for the day. Not a bad product, but not something I would use all the time.

I have oily skin and so powders usually work well for me.

But I found that when I used it alone with just a little bit of concealer, my face was shiny by the afternoon! For this reason I am not sure whether or not I would buy it again.

It does work really well with the Maybelline Powder Foundation though, I was really pleased with that. I agree with other reviewers that the sponge that it comes with deposits too much product. I also used the foundation brush to dust on the mineral veil.

The package is quite nice. Small and light-weight, the lid slides off one side and there's a mirror underneath. I wish that more powder packaging was designed this way!

I don't normally wear pressed powder but I thought I would give Maybelline's a try. First off, the packaging was pretty cool. It's really sturdy so it can stand up to being tossed in your purse. It comes with a sponge applicator and mirror so you can apply it wherever you are, though I did have some difficulty trying to get to it at first but I finally figured it out and thought that it was cool that there is a tiny compartment that swings out. I thought the product itself was good, it prevented me from getting oily all day. It also helped me darken up the concealer that I had which was too light. I also liked how it blended into my skin, which normally doesn't happen because I'm asian and most drugstore makeup doesn't quite match my skintone. All in all I liked Maybelline's pressed powder because it prevented me from becoming oily, matched my skintone well and didn't make my skin feel flaky after applying it.

I usually use liquid foundation and finish with a translucent powder or a sweep of blush or bronzer, but this stuff is pretty amazing, especially for the price. I always avoided powders or compact foundations before because I hate the cakey, dry look that comes with them, but this one is so light that it really just adds that finished look and evens everything out. I used the Medium shade and it seems to blend well with my skin tone, even after getting a bit of a tan. It also works nicely with my non-maybelline liquid foundation.

To be honest, I had no clue what this was. I don't wear alot of make-up on my skin usually, maybe some cream and some concealer, and I was surprised that one person could wear so much on the face, and for it to look so natural and light! It really really impressed me. I even used some on my neck and chest to even out the look. I love the whole line actually. My only problem with this particular one is that it is messy. It doesn't get on my clothing or furniture, but after 2 uses the case was messy and looked like I had it for months. But other than that it was perfect for my skin!

Maybe it was because I was sick when I got my package in the mail, but I found it really hard to figure out how to access the applicator sponge in this compact! Anyways, the mirror and applicator swivels out from the bottom of the compact. This product works well to absorb oil instantly, but I'm not a big fan of the sponge applicator; I think it picks up way too much product. This is better applied using a powder brush. Overall, if you're in a hurry, this is a good way to pull your look together quickly and easily. It is a good, convenient product for touch-ups on the go.

This turned out to be a big surprise for me. I still use it; in fact, I have almost finished the pan. Depending on the brush I use, I can vary the coverage of the product. Fantastic in hiding your pores without looking too powdery. When I have really great skin I just dust this on my oily areas and go. I don't have any reason why I would discontinue using this!

Perhaps next time I will try the bronzer!
