I dont like this palette because it have no pigmentation at all, but I can see a beginner at makeup using it, or a teenager. But for makeup addicts like me, I definitely recommend the covergirl trunaked one over this ( it's cheaper, pigmentent and last all day, specially with a primer!)
I did not like this palette at all. The colours barely show up, some have no pigment at all. The shadows are dry, and chalky. Just awful. It's not worth the money honestly.
I was really excited about trying out these eyeshadows - I try to do my make up as natural as possible, hence this palette.
My brush took a lot of umph to actually pick up the colour in the first place, and I found it flaked over my face before, during, and after application!
There are many other brands out there with a much better quality shadow.
I am finding that with Maybelline, the products are hit or miss and in my opinion, their Nudes Eye shadow falls into the "miss" category. For this particular review, I am going to break it down into pros and cons.
My review is based on both of the Maybelline Nude palettes in "Nudes" and "Blushed Nudes"
PROS
-Affordable
-Readily Available
-Gorgeous colours
CONS
-Lacks pigment
-Lacks staying power
-Dry
-Chalky
-Hard to pick up product
-Hard to blend
Sad to say that this product has more cons than pros.I loved the colors and wanted this palette to work! I tried without primer and with primer and various other ways to get the product to perform...and it failed in all regards.
Should Maybelline decide to change the formula of the product, then I would be more than happy to give it another go.
This pallet is an attempted dupe of the UD NUDE palettes and extremely disappointing. The quality and color pay off is terrible. Even with primer it is a total disappointment.
This palette seems like a great deal as it is less upfront than one of the Urban Decay NUDE Palettes - but given how long a good shadow pallet with neutral colors lasts (I have had mine for years) and how much use you get out of it versus the cheaper one that you may only use a few times before it gets tossed in your drawer/bag of crap makeup buying the better product is worth it in the long run.
I wish I would have listened to the reviews because this palette was horrible. The pigmentation isn't the best & the shadows aren't soft. This wasn't a good investment. Disappointed.
