Tasty

I received this as a free item for review purposes. I like McDonald’s coffee in general and enjoyed this product as well. I found the kcups worked well and didn’t leave grinds in the cup which has been an issue with some other brands. The taste was good. I didn’t find it exceptional but it wasn’t bad. I would buy it again if it was on sale but didn’t really find it anything special above the other kcup coffees available.

It's ok

The taste was too strong and bitter for the type of coffee I normally drink. Would.i buy it again? Probably not. I think I would lean towards a light roast if it's going to be that bitter

Strong Flavour, heavy bodied

I usally like McCafe coffees, and this tasted very similar to getting it right from the source, at MacDonalds! I like my coffee black with some fat-free syrup and it was just strong enough to still taste like coffee and sweetener. I enojoyed the boldness of the flavour. To me it was not burnt or bitter tasting. The flavour is pretty strong, if you are looking for a light coffee, this it not for you. I also found the this to be heavier coffee, you can add water to it if you need to. I used this on two settings on my Kreuig, the first one made my coffee too strong and the larger setting worked great. I would drink this again but I must say it is not the best one I have ever had.

Not my favorite

I normally enjoy mccafe coffee but this one wasn't my favorite. I found it had a very nutty stale taste which even with flavored creamer I could still taste it. I made coffee for 2 others and they both agreed it wasn't the greatest tasting.

Decent coffee

I like this coffee but don't love it. I found it wasn't as strong as I like my coffee to be. It tasted a bit better when I used the strong setting. The taste is a bit bitter for my liking. I would drink it again but it wouldn't replace other coffees that I prefer.

McCafé Java Fix Needs Fixing

This medium-dark roast coffee from McCafé is made with 100% ethically sourced Arabica beans from Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farms. Yay to supporting farmers! This means communities and surrounding rainforests can keep on thriving. The beans are fire-roasted and the flavour is full-bodied for any coffee lover, though I did find that it was more medium than dark. The packaging is made from recycled materials, and the front of the box does state that the pods are recyclable and even gives instructions on how to do that, but the (very) fine print on the bottom of the box states that this is only possible in select locations. I checked my local area and the pods are NOT recyclable and must be place in the trash, so the label on the box is somewhat misleading; it should denote with obvious transparency that there are exceptions. It also had a QR code that lead nowhere. So, the taste is there as a medium bodied coffee, the packaging has been and can be recycled, but the pods themselves requires extra work to investigate and in the end may not be recyclable at all. The latter may impact an individual's desire to purchase, regardless of quality of taste. While I generally enjoyed the coffee, I will not purchase based on two factors: 1. A somewhat misleading promotion of a recyclable product, and 2. I prefer coffee that is also organic and Fair Trade. There are other options at the same price point that can deliver better on taste, environmental impact, ethics and overall quality.

No where close to the real thing!

I LOVE the Mcdonald coffee. I bought this thinking I could have the same taste at home. Nope. This doesn't even remotely taste like it. Another thing you need to use a very small cup, with very little water. I like to use big coffee mug and if I fill the machine to capacity the coffee taste real watery, not good at all. I found that half the water capacity of the reservoir makes the coffee taste OKAY at best. The taste if average and not even close to the real Mcdonald coffee. I will stick to my Tim Horton pods since I can make it as close to the real Tim’s.
The only thing I liked was that,I love the fact that these pods are 100% compostable and the whole thing can go into your compost bin is amazing.

Tastes like you're at McDonalds

I love McCafe coffee, and the k-cups do taste like the real thing. Only warning...the price! It is cheaper for me to head to McDonald's to grab a coffee than it is to purchase a pack of these K-cups.

Changed the pods!!

Just bought a new box from Costco and they are no longer compostable and the taste is more mild. Used to be a nice medium/strong. Now seems watered down and not worth the premium price. Bring back the compostable pods!!

Buyer Beware, Product Does Not Work!

I really like the taste of McDonald's coffee. I've bought the regular kinds before. I am not one to buy the newest technology or things that come out, but was convinced when the box said biodegradable. To my surprise, the k-cups came individually wrapped, which defeats the whole purpose. The k-cups have not been able to work properly. I've had to trick it 3-4 times before it would brew. Finally I gave up and went back to my Timmies k-cups.
