    Good twist on a medicine ball

    First of all, let's talk about inflation. I've never inflated anything in my life (not even a bike tyre) and while it was irritating that it didn't come with instructions, it was almost laughably easy. The only thing that might be confusing is the 'plug' that's where it needs to be filled, but it specifically says in the product description not to remove that. So as a reminder, DO NOT REMOVE THE PLUG that is in the 'inflation hole'.

    It also doesn't come with exercise ideas, but you can go to the link provided on the box to download them. It's a minor complaint, but the company would save themselves a lot of trouble by including a really basic instruction guide for inflation and maybe a QR code link to the exercises (using paper would be a less green option.)

    The outside of the ball WILL remain wrinkled unless you pump it up far bigger than you think you should. Then you might have to pull the zipper closed a little (both sides while someone zips it) to get it closed properly. When it's inflated fully, you can see the 'circular ridges' on the ball through the vinyl exterior. The pump does look cheap, but it works and it's for one use, so that doesn't bother me. Here's a quick guide to inflation:

    1. Unzip bag. Screw included metal needle onto pump.
    2. Insert needle into hole on plastic plug, push it down until it stops (less than halfway, very easy.)
    3. Pump. Even going at a steady pace it only takes about ten minutes. If you want to inflate it more efficiently make sure to push the pump top full out and in each time.
    4. Remove needle.
    5. Zip up bag, using help to hold the zippers closer together if you have trouble.
    6. Exercise!

    My preferred way to use this is by doing two-person medicine ball exercises. This is like a medicine ball, but has an extra 'challenge' in that the sand shifts and requires a little more (mostly un-noticed) muscle work to re-adjust the balance. I do really like that it has a soft vinyl covering which feels comfortable on hands. The straps have an extra 'padded wrap' that can be removed and you can use them on hands or feet. Do keep in mind the weight limit is 264 lbs so if you're over that, you probably shouldn't use it for any of the 'leaning' or 'body support' exercises, but there are still other ways it can be used.

    The 6lb weight is a good weight for those who are slight or weak and want a little bit of a challenge that will help them build muscle and strength, but don't want anything that's too difficult.

    Overall, it's a really good product, but some people are going to be confused and my recommendation to the company would be to include those basic instructions. If someone bought it in store, for example, they might not know not to take out the 'plug'. If you read my instructions above for inflating it, you'll do just fine and should get some good use out of this twist ball.
