Descent Bread

I found this to taste like plain bread. There was not a lot of sweetness to it at all. I was deceived because it looks like there is a glaze on top so I thought it might have a bit of a sugary taste to it but it is very mild. There are some small pieces of dried fruit throughout and there are golden raisins. I found the raisins brought the most sweetness and flavor to the bread. I microwaved the bread for 30 seconds and it added a level of freshness to it. The bread tasted like it was just baked in the oven.

This is a pretty descent bread. I would buy it again for a snack or as part of a meal. They are priced well and a lot come in a package. You can find these at Metro.

Simple Plain Bread With Dried Fruit

These can be found in the Metro bakery section. The pack comes with quite a few hot cross buns, though I'm not sure of the exact number, but I'd estimate 6 to 8. The price is great for the number of buns you get.

Essentially is it a plain bread with pieces of dried fruit inside, similar to the ones you would find in a fruit cake. The fruit adds a sweetness to the otherwise plain bread. If you are looking for a spiced or sweet bread, you will not find that with this. There is a mild gaze put onto the bread but the taste is extremely subtle. Each bread is marked with a cross on top. The cross marking the bread is saltier and more crumbly than the rest of the bread.I tried a bit of mine room-temperature and then warmed the rest for 20 seconds. Warming the bread makes it taste fresher and helps bring the flavours together.
