Excellent versatile carrier from infant up to toddler!

The Moby 2 in 1 carrier is an excellent addition to the “baby gear.” Not ideal for newborn, but once your baby is about 12 lbs you can use the chest facing position. My 10 week old who just hit 12 lbs does pretty good in this but she’s still a little low and the shoulder straps can get in her way. Otherwise the hipster seat that the baby rests on takes all the weight of carrying the baby off of your back. When the baby is awake and able to hold their head up pretty well they can forward face and look around. There is a nice little flap for when the baby may be sleeping facing you that you can pull up over there head and snap into the shoulder straps, keeping the baby very secure against your chest. Once the baby is old enough to be walking and just wants to be picked up time to time you can use the hipster seat. This is Soooo wonderful! All the weight that is usually on your back from carrying your child seems to disappear. The hipster seat is very solid and holds my 2 year old very well with my hand around his back. Moby held up their reputation of quality made products with this carrier!

A Carrier that Helps Offset the Load

This multi use carrier is perfect when you are going to different places, you can accommodate accordingly by adjusting the carrier front, back and on the hip. I find having the on the hip option to take off so much pressure by redistributing the weight and allows me to be more engaged with my little one. The fabric is lovely and the carrier overall is very cute. I would definitely buy again and now that I’m aware of the Moby 2-1 Carrier Hip Seat, I will be purchasing as gifts for friends that are about to have babies.
