For me, a detangler is a necessary part of the cleansing-conditioning-styling process. After I wash out the conditioner, I spray a detangler (the Pear Detangler) to minimize hair loss, before the leave-in conditioner. I then comb out my hair after the leave-in. I don't think that this is the best one out there, but it does a decent job and smells wonderful.
