Dried out quickly in the pot

This gel eyeliner was really creamy and dark to begin with but by the second month, it had dried up in the pot and is now really difficult to use. I screwed the lid on tightly after each use however it is still dry. I also found that it didn't stay on well throughout the day, and my winged eyeliner would usually completely disappear after a few hours just from blinking. Overall, it started out great when I first bought it, but it is now dry and it didn't stay on throughout the day.
