On tv it looks like you have to scrub a lot more than if you just put water on the stove(example) and let it sit for awhile.

I have never really been quite sure why so many people rave about the Magic Eraser! I bought it when it first came out - only to be completely disappointed! I tried using it to clean scum off the tub in the bathroom, but it didn't do anything. I tried getting some stuff off the walls and it wouldn't work their either. I found it to be highly over priced and very ineffective. I can do a far better job with some cleaner and a cloth - for a fraction of the price!

This product did the same thing as if I were to use a pencil eraser on my walls or floors.Also if I use light scrubbing pads,it does the same thing.I don't find this product any different.
