Brill app
I have used this everyday for about a year now. On the plus side, if you’re honest with it (and yourself!), it really does focus your eating habits and for that I will always be grateful, it really has educated me and informed my eating habits. It’s interface with common products is excellent and I rarely struggled to find most meals/snacks etc I was looking for and with a bit of honest research you can always find/adapt to keep your diary up to date. The downside is that it can be very time consuming entering all the details for every meal.
Good if your disciplined
this is a great app and has a very wide range of food items on there but the only problem I had was knowing exactly how many grams of food your eating if it wasn't pre packaged and also remembering to log everything
Cool app
This is a helpful app to use when you are trying to lose weight. It is pre-loaded with tons of different food options prepared both at home as well as restaurant menu items. You can also easily add your own foods as well. Its kind of eye opening to see the true amount of calories in the things you eat. The amount of calories you consume versus the amount of calories you THINK you consume can be two very different things! The MyFitnessPal app helps to keep you accountable and mindful of the choices you make.
I downloaded this on my phone because I had heard a lot about it, I think that it has really great features like tracking how much you walk and how often you exercise. I really liked that you are able to find out how many calories are in the foods that I was eating. I use it every now and than but I see how someone could find this super useful.
I like using this to keep track of my weight progress, as well as my calorie intake. I also like to use it to keep track of what I been eating so incase a migraine hits, I can go back and see what I ate for that day to see if I can spot a "trigger". Its much more convieniant(sp?) than writing it down on paper, plus I can take it with me so I can keep track of what I eat as I eat it when I'm out as well.
What I don't like about this app....
If you have an amount of calories for the day, and you eat way less than that, the app (and website), doesn't allow you to even completME whether or not I am content with amount of calories I consumed. Its almost like they encourage you to go over your calories or something. I don't know, I just think that needs to be fixed. Like yesterday for example, I was finished my day with 545 calories left I could have consumed, but I was full and had no intention of eating anything else, yet it wouldn't let me complete my entry.
Other than that, its still a good app, and I recommend it, even if only for the weight tracking. I don't really use it for the exercise tracking, since I don't exercise much, and when I do, I have to consume even more calories to be able to complete my entry for the day.
This app is perfect if you are trying to watch what you eat.
It does feel a bit time consuming when you trying to track the exact foods you eat.
A lot of the food items are American so you just have to guess.
It does give you a good estimate of your caloric intake.
As for the fitness aspect of the app... I don't find myself using it much
now that I have a fit bit. I find the fit bit is more accurate.
Oooo and it's free!
This app works very well, but I'm not sure I would recommend it. I wouldn't recommend it because I remember having a friend in highschool who would skip breakfast or eat a muffin then enter it in and freak out about the calories. If you're trying to lose weight then focus on what you're eating, and not how many calories it is. Eat a vegetable, a starch, and a protein and you're good. It's good to keep track of what you're eating, but don't think of it as the holy grail when it comes to weight loss.
FITNESS APP IS GUD. LIKE IT USE IT TO CHECK ON MY WEIGHT AND BODY . NOW TRYING TO REDUCE WEIGHT AND CHECK ON IT . SO KEEPING TRACK OF IT
Great fitness app and its free. I sync it with my MapMyRun and Fitbit for better personal improvements.
